For all the idiots in the student section, no one is complaining because we get drunk and yell. People just would like us to show the least bit of class, show up for the game and stay until its over. Obviously this isn't everyone in the student section, but its gotten to such a point that if you are not actively trying to stop it, you are just as much to blame. We all talk about how much we hate the ags, but you would never see these problems there. Somehow the biggest cult population in all of Texas has more class than our student section.
I am a student and I love being in the student section, but for those that don't show class, or leave our stadium early, Y'all MF'ers need some Jesus!

It has nothing to do with their age. It has more to do with the fact that they suck as football fans. The student section was half empty at the start of the 4th in an 11 point defensive struggle. This was the type of game the LSU fan base built it's reputation on.
Say what you want about the rest of the stadium beginning to empty, but that happens in every stadium across the country. However, in a game like that the students should have been going nuts and willing the D to one more stop.

So what are your suggestions to stopping it? Asking politely? Telling each individual "guuuuys stop it! it's not classy enough for the bluehairs on Tigerdroppings!"

well I could think of a couple of things.
1. Talk to leadership in student organizations you are apart of and/or your frat/sorority and have them address acceptable behavior for football games. Greek life has a lot of clout within the student population. Many schools frats across the nation have rules for football games. Maybe staying for the whole game and not being classless douches could be one. I am not trying to rip on the frats, I am just saying they already have the established leadership that would be able to implement such changes.
2. Put Op-eds in the newspaper about appropriate behavior.
3. Sing the correct or at least some appropriate lyrics when the band plays songs. Drown out the classless people.
4. Have a game day shirt/sticker/hat/etc. just anything visible that symbolizes that as a student in the student section, you will be there on time, for the whole game, and you wont actively participate in singing lyrics that gets a song banned.
These are just 4 ideas I had when I saw the ridiculousness of your statement that basically said there is no way to sway public opinion or behavior.

The only feasible solution I see is for the administration in conjunction with the athletics department to put the students on notice that if the behavior of the student section as a whole does not meet certain expectations, that attendance privileges for the entire student body will be revoked for the next game.

Look fellas things come and go around LSU. The school is pushing more and more to be respectable academically. Therefore you get a less aggressive student body from recruitment. The frats are way tamer these days.
Look on the student exchange Facebook page the week of the game and watch all of the foreigners practically give away tickets. Our student body is bigger than it has ever been and our football team is better than it has ever been (in recent years). In a perfect world that combination would equal the most rowdiest rambunctious wacko student section that some of you geezers dream of but it is just not the case in 2013. Teens these days are way softer than the teens of back when. Blame the media, blame all the mistakes generations beforehand have made, I really do not know why Americas is getting so soft. I am all for the old school and will get rowdy with any LSU alum/ student any day but comparing a student section of the past to one of the present is ridiculous. You have to be an imbecilic to expect the same experience from your Archer, Curley, Dinardo, Saban days. Its Miles time now and I bet if you ask him what he thought about this he would probably tell you to go suck his TIGER D.
Yeah the chant itself may be old and middle school but how about the sucks to be a Florida Gator or the ooo ee oo you suck? How about hot boudin or ree ree ree? There are many other solutions than some of the gayness I have heard in this thread. You cant graduate from LSU after having the "best student section ever during your time" then wine about students being weird in the student section. Your elders thought you were weird too.
Anyone bringing class into this conversation needs to take that elsewhere. It takes all kinds to make a southern state school and I can promise you it is not all made up of class. I have met some amazing people all throughout the SEC just as I have met some disgusting people.
If yall are unhappy with what goes on in Baton Rouge on game day I heard Best buy is having a sale on flat screens, you should go buy one. Maybe you can plug your laptop into it and jerk off on Tigerdroppings while you watch the game. Ill be popin beam bags and yelling my lungs out to help motivate our Tigers to victory.
