This is amazing to listen to. TM7 has come so far and is now somebody who makes every single one of us very proud. He speaks nothing but the truth.

The emotion in his voice is real. Hopefully he gets an audience with this.

Guy obviously cares, but his words tend to show, in my view, How nobody really has a formula for what to do about the violent generation(s) of young people plaguing New Orleans and other cities.

Yeah, money, recreation, and education, but it's an ethos that is missing. A spiritual problem if you want to call it that.

Really hope his injuries don't hold him back. Love how he wants to use football as a tool to give back.

We have all watched this boy become a man. It's great to see the maturity. If ge can do it, anyone else can from his background. That should be his message. Own up to your mistakes and learn from them.

there honestly isn't a whole lot we can do until the people in those cultures actually make a point to better themselves. Until nothing will ever change about it.

Tyrann can only do so much. I know he will help St. Aug and that he will be working with Nord soon to stem some of the problems he has talked about.

Another reason he is likely my favorite LSU player/representative. Not only excellent on the field, but has confronted his own demons head on, succeeded, and now speaking out to help others. The best thing he said on there was "not everyone has to be Lil Wayne. You don't have to make millions or play football to make an impact or better yourself."

He also pointed out that these young people need to have drive and lose the self pity, so he's not just playing the blame game.

It isn't a system problem

If recreational opportunities fixed these issues, the first 200 athletes that built basketball courts would have fixed the issues.

What are you supposed to do after 5? Go home and fi your chores, eat dinner, take a shower watch a little tube and go to bed.

The parks have to close at five because if they don't we don't have enough police to keep everyone from killing each other at the park

This! TM7 is right about a lot of what he says but it goes much deeper. The breakdown of the family unit has to be considered as a top problem that needs to be solved. The role models need to be the fathers in the homes who go to work and come home to provide discipline and structure to kids.
