I'm all for setting up plays, but tipping 15 straight runs isnt worth setting up 1 play.

If it takes a hand signal to know LSU will likely run the ball, then somebody got bigger issues

BTW, I love the AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Auto Repair commercial

this. As soon as Lee made call the LB's starting yelling. But we just beat the shite out of them anyway.

He's adjusting the side the running play goes to at the line based on the defense. Unfortunately it does tip off the other team, but two things I noticed are that in the 4th quarter he started switching them up randomly (i.e. left equaled right sometimes, and right equaled left) and he did it on playaction under center on that one drive down the field.

I think LSU was trying to set up MSU, but it didn't work well honestly.

1. They know we are running most likely from those sets and down and distance
2. JLee sees the strong side of the D and tips the running back to which side that is. ( If you notice he points his thumb to the side they should run to. It works good... look at the rushing stats. He has been doing it all season. He uses different hands but turns it over depending which side is strong.

The hand signal tipped that it was run and it also tipped that it was changed from the left side to the right. (at least on the plays I saw)

How much longer and we're going to tip off our run plays by J. Lee giving a signal behind his back. You think maybe we can do it during pass plays just to mix it up and keep the "D" honest.

I'm just amazed that Lee, the OC, Les Miles, and the entire staff . . . not a single one of them . . . have ever had this thought cross their minds. Damn, you have to get up pretty damned early in the day to put something past a Rantard

He is pointing out blitz pickups. He does it on run and passes so he does not tip the defense. It worked pretty well tonight. He also does it in the gun on runs and passes he just points it out for the entire world to see. I like it. Quit nitpicking and pay attention.

be that as it may, but I'm no D coordinator and I call run every time. and that's not a boast.

my friend, pointing out blitzes and coverage's, and the behind the back signal to our RB's are 2 different things. I do pay attention.

Reminds me of high school ball we would make our Alabama call and the other team would say that means run right. Actually, it meant alert check with me and we would check to run right because their alignment dictated it. They may think they know but I wouldn't count on it if I was wvu

Was not looking for a friend but thanks. I did not say he was pointing out coverage behind his back. I must admit that would be pretty cool. I think what I said was blitz pick up if I am not mistaken, specifically concerning the running backs he just so happens to be signaling. Like you said you are no DC, but am a smelling the frustration a closet offensive genius or armchair QB that feels he can do better?

I'll respond just as soon as I can figure out exactly what that sentence is trying to say.

That isn't new this season and he isn't doing it to say what side we're switching the run to.

State tried to pick it up but LSU gashed them one play in the red zone in the 4th.

He's saying he can call when we are going to run, every time.
