Well you're obviously either trolling or totally out of touch with how things work. And what do you mean by "really needed him"? Do you think that the bowl game against Kansas State was more important than say the SEC Championship?

The NCAA fricked us over by not allowing him to keep his redshirt if he played after we sent the request in. And then the very next season they said bowl games don't count anymore as if to laugh at us. If you're gonna be mad at anyone about that then get mad at the NCAA

The NCAA also retroactively punished a couple LSU players for a pre-NIL violation that would have been legal a month or two later resulting in suspensions for the FSU game.

Those are Michael Pennix type numbers. I hear he did OK. Hopefully we get the passing stats
Agreed. I love Nuss. No mistaking - he's a pro-style pocket passer if there ever was one. It seems like almost all successful college QB's nowadays are more dual-threat so I'm optimistic but a bit reserved tbh.

As a pure thrower he is better than Daniels in that aspect. Of course he, (nor many people) will ever be the runner Daniels was. Daniels was also very careful with the football (sometime to a fault).

Biggest questions are:

(1) Can Nussmeier learn to play smart within his high confidence level. You WANT your QB to have big time confidence and feel he can make every play...any time. But the greats are controlled enough to know they can't make every throw any time and know how to control their swagger to their advantage.

(2) Can Denbrock tailor an offense to Nussmeier. For multiple years now (even predating LSU) Denbrock has had a QB who always could save a play with his feet. He also could call plays knowing the defense had to account for a runner at QB. Nussmeier is at his best when he's playing in rhythm. Will we see more quick throws to speed up the tempo and reduce the need for Nussmeier to want to ad-lib...which can sometimes get him in trouble?

Yall are trash. Bashing an LSU QB and the only reason is because yall like another one more.

Not just the person I replied to. All of yall acting like 8 year olds with favorite players.

Jayden made the correct decision for himself and for the program by opting out! Nothing more to prove in a Tiger Uniform. Now it’s time to turn to the future with Nuss leading the way!

He just finished a season with the Heisman winner. Do you honestly believe if he felt he required a player with a very specific skill similar to Daniels for his offense to work, he wouldn't go out and get one? I mean, his livelihood depends on it.

Is that a negative for a quarterback, to you?

I think there’s a massive difference between “I’m 6-4+, 250+ pounds and can take a 3 step drop and launch into orbit 70 yards” vs. what Nuss is - can flick his wrist without taking a single step and throw an absolute frozen rope (literally 5° max angle of release) 35 yards to a receiver without the ball losing height at all (think Rodgers, Favre, Marino)
the glazing is ridiculous. Nuss has a strong arm, that's all. He does not have a cannon. This isn't Pat Mahomes, this isn't prime Stafford. You're going overboard.

Daniels finished the season with a 208 QB efficiency rating. The best single season in CFB history.

Daniels transformed his game this season to everything we could have hoped for and more.

I hope Nuss can do the same, but he hasn't proven that yet.

Nuss will do okay but let’s be realistic here

We’ve seen the best performance ever in tiger history so there’s going to be considerable drop off. Fans need to be considerate of that.
