If the Bears take Crowten then that is the second nice thing they have done for La., the first being the beating they placed on Minn. to ensure Saints Dome Field Advantage.

Might have to become a Bears fan.

If Gary is still around after Friday, my source has been incorrect for the first time…
so basically his source didn't change field, just that Miles is denying it. Who does Fletcher believe in more?

The same Les that told us RS would be more involved in the gameplan, among other things? Awesome! I'm feeling better and better about the Crowton firing.

Really couldn't follow all those paragraphs and stuff, could you guys? Anyway, separate and distinct source from all that north Louisiana stuff, it looks like it is going to happen and on the big guys terms, not yours. He always takes care of his coaches first. If there is a place to go (and there is) and he is wanted there, then this will happen....on Les' terms, not anyone elses. This is why assistant coaches love to coach with LM. Unlike many in today's world, he is a man of honor, repect and loyalty.

If this happens, looks like MS will have egg all over his face for his criticism of LM at the end of the year. Think about this. The buyout could be a problem, unless GC leaves on his own for another job....hmmmmm.

This is where the story falls apart. No way Alleva steps in to fire an assistant without Miles' approval.

no, but dont think alleva couldnt STRONGLY insist miles fire crowton

i will say though, its a dangerous slope when administration starts getting involved with the hiring and firing of assistant coaches

There were hints that CLM wanted GC gone but that Alleva balked at the cost. The TAF story backs that up if they went to Alleva to help change his mind about what CLM already wanted.

I mean why would we fire him...His offense was only 112th out of 120 teams. Mind that the talent of offense ranks in the highest percentile as well. Makes complete sense.

It really won't be that big of a hit financially to fire Crowton. So this statement is likely BS.
