Always been a fan of Tim's but he's certainly not a fan of our AD or handling of the Miles situation. Although I thought he was a Fox guy and didn't care about the SEC anymore?

It was handled right. Miles was told to change the offense. He decided to stay with the current broken plan with his pal Cam.

Miles decided his own fate with the rope of Cam.

Brando, like all media people, have to attract audiences. That means they must be controversial. It's impossible to be controversial at all times, so they make stuff up.

These guys don't believe most of their own BS. It's a mistake to think they're stupid. The stupid ones are the ones that you're NOT talking about.

I am glad someone else gets it besides me.
If your boss, no matter what your job is, tell you to make changes and you don't, then you wanted to be fired. He was told to make changes, and he didn't.

It really is that fricking simple.

Well, Miles certainly did change the offense - it just didn't work well enough. We were throwing the ball quite a bit this year.

Your point about Cam could be true, though for different reasons. Cam was run off mid-season from the Ravens, which went on to win the Super Bowl. That is highly unusual for a coordinator to be fired in the middle of the season. I seem to recall that he was let go for play calling reasons.

This is just a guess, but I think Cam suffers from compulsions that make him predictable. It's not that the offense is bad, or needs to be changed. You could make Cam the play caller for Louisville's offense, and teams would be able to guess what he's doing.

Tim thinks that, since he lived in BR when Joe Dean and Edwin Edwards were there, that LSU and Louisiana will always be cheap and small time. He has no idea how things have chang5ed, at least with LSU football.

If I'm wrong on this please correct me....

wasn't Brando one of the few media and in the group of local media that was on board with firing Miles at the end of last year?

If that's true, then putting this in the context of that would make some sense. In other words, the leadership failure would be due to last year and the only mid-season aspect of this was the compound error. In his eyes.

I see all kinds of advantages to doing this mid-season. Especially after hearing Skip talk about the position Saban put us in that resulted (partially) in getting Miles.

I agree it was handled poorly, but that was due to leaks.

Alleva hopefully learned his lesson.

UGA did things the right way last year.

He's been piping this agenda for a while now. He'll scream it to anyone that will listen, and whoever LSU hires he will scream that it wasn't their first target If they land Herman, he'll say they couldn't get Jimbo. If they get Jimbo, he'll say they couldn't get Herman. No matter what happens he'll claim LSU botched this because of the leadership.

What you have is the 2 highest officials in the state, JBE & King not listening to the big boosters and not putting LSU football high on their priority list until the football program became even more embarrassing. Brando is misguided. Alleva has never been the problem.

The media has a sad because they lost their sources. The second greatest sin in the media's eyes is firing people that feed them information.

Once you are hired, the script flips...If you win, you OWN the AD and Administration. This is what Brando is not considering. Miles owned the leadership, and did so for a lot longer than he should have.

Brando is inferring that the new coach would be negatively affected by the leadership.

But, the reality is that if the new coach wins, which the right guy should have every reason to do, and better than Miles with the situation the new coach would inherit, then the "poor leadership" would not be a negative.

Brando is just spouting off surface level crap that he has not thought through all the way.

I don't know about that, but something is not right with Tim...Maybe his career is not going well. He's also talking out his arse with absolutely nothing factual about what he's saying.

Brando has always had a problem talking out his arse...He has always been critical of LSU, he has said it's because he doesn't want to be considered a Homer...

I agree, on his twitter he seems to go out of his way to bash LSU and remind everyone how happy he is doing whatever it is that he does. Who does he work for anyway? He comes off very sour.
