With all the disgruntlement this week, try to keep the howling to a minimum, and keep in mind that things could be worse – and that a 7-1 record is not a capital offense.

Opposing coaches record and winning percentage against LSU:

Bobby Bowden (Florida State) 1-7-0 .125

Bear Bryant (Kentucky, Texas A&M, Alabama): 5-20-1. .210 .

Bobby Dodd (Georgia Tech): 4-7-0 . . .360

Vince Dooley (Georgia): 2-2-0. . 500

Pat Dye (Auburn): 1-3-0 .250

Dan McGugin (Vanderbilt) 1-1-1 .500

Shug Jordan (Auburn): 4-0-0 . . . 1,000

Urban Meyer (Florida): 3-3-0 . . . . 500

Bob Neyland (Tennessee): 0-5-1 . . . .083.

Nick Saban (Michigan State, Alabama): 4-7-0 .366

Clark Shaughnessy (Tulane) 4-6-1 .450

Steve Spurrier (Florida, South Carolina): 4-11-0 . .266

Johnny Vaught (Ole Miss): 8-14-3. . .380

Totals 41-86-7 .334

In other words, it's not unusual to lose to really good teams. For anyone.

Whoever decided to put losses first is a moron. What a stupid way to present win-loss statistics.
