This. I hate how we had to acquiesce to soft culture in order to ensure a supply of tigers.

I still think they could get them on the black market though, letting them eschew the sanctuary rules.

What about gold game or white out? I know it’s gimmicky. 100k in gold would terrify schools

If you could get that many to show up.

I don't know if anyone else here remembers, but when Tiger Band first used flags, there were twelve flags with the colors of each of the SEC schools. Large flags, not the twirling, dancing drum-and-bugle corps style. Bring those back. At a recent game halftime I counted 25 flag twirlers on the field. Give that scholarship money to musicians. Don't seem to be as many trumpets as in the past.

Also agree with taking down the upper decks of the stadium.

Well, which is it????

For one game a season, make the student section general admission. Allow students to line up at the gate starting on Friday at noon.

Used to get the crowd hype!
This. "Death Valley, where only Tigers survive" *que the roar* It was intimidating in and of itself, and then the band would start marching.

Video example from 2007 Florida pre game

Back when the speakers were loud enough to actually hear Dan Bourne's voice. Gets the blood flowing every time. Pre game just isn't what it used to be. As cool as the expansion looks, part of me wishes it never happened.

It isn't a huge deal, but I do miss "Hey Baby" when we were winning in the 4th. Basically, anything getting the crowd in unison and maintaining noise in the winning quarter is missed.

Goes along with way more band music over piped in.

They actually played “Hey baby” against ULm in the 2nd.

Haven’t heard it in years

The closest I think I've seen Death Valley that full for pregame was A&M 2019, but I think that had more to do with making sure we all got to see Burrow come out on SR night than anything.

Not to make a 3rd post in 4, but of course they'd do it only with that crowd

I used to love that. That’s back when the whole crowd would be chanting. Memories of great drives by Bert Jones, etc.

I see concessions mentioned frequently as having gone downhill. I worked 4 or 5 games in the late 90’s and can’t imagine how quality could have decreased.

Quality wasn’t great back then. But I was just in charge of the nacho cheese and hot dogs.
