That is in correct. The only thing added to the NEZ score board was speakers due to the renovation. They expanded the base for that and wrapped it with a purple mesh with adds on it. The screen has not changed. It always had the 2 smaller screens on the side and the one big one In the middle that had half taken up by adds except for commercials and videos. All I can see they did was maybe change the actual screen on the NEZ. Many of people here have stated that the adds will disappear this season but I'm not so sure if I'm buying that.

We shall soon see

I stand corrected. I had thought they had replaced the south video board but LSU elected to just wait for the two new corner screens. Which is why we had to put up with all the ads on the north screen.

My apologies, will edit my posts.

I sit in the south end zone. I will be impressed if The Coca Cola and McDonalds ads don't blind me as I look at the screen.

From the picture it looks like the all the advertising is in purple?

It really looks like a lot of complaints were listened too.

It was like that last year. They had to double up the ad space due to the SEZ board being removed for the construction. What LSU does in regards to the new ad space remains to be seen.

You cannot honestly think this looks good. Nothing goes together. It looks like pieces of three completely different style stadiums.

The stadium looks nicer now than it has in years. Alleva did this right.

I'm sorry, you preferred this?

My point is, it looks better than it ever did. It's hands down the best stadium in the conference to watch a game in. Best sight lines, most exits in the stands...makes it easy to get to/from your seat...most premium seating overall, most chair-back seats.

It's got it all. As far as the look outside, you're preaching to the choir here. But baby steps. It's not done, the athletic department has more plans to improve it, and the fans and boosters won't let it be done.

Does it need upgrades? Yes. The good news is, upgrades are being studied as we speak...

And Alleva said LSU is looking into improving the restrooms at Tiger Stadium — which might become necessary if beer sales are ever approved.

On what could happen to the old dorms in Tiger Stadium:

"It’s full of asbestos, so it all would have to be abated. The plumbing is shot. The electrical is shot. The ceilings are really low. It’s a really low ceiling, so aesthetically it limits what you can do. One of the things that we have the architect looking at now, and goes back to the fan experience, we have them looking into the possibility of creating more restroom space out of that dorm space, renovated space for particularly women’s restrooms. Women are really particular about that. So it we could create more restroom space, that would be a real advantage for us.

Joe Alleva talks end zone expansion, beer sales, SEC Network at BR Press Club

The best stadium in the SEC got even better. And that's a cause for rejoicing!

It's the year 2014 and cellphones have been around for 20 years. LSU makes tens of millions of dollars profit every football season.

For those two reasons alone, it's absolutely ridiculous that it's taken this long for LSU to address the cellphone issue.

Duhhhh, there needs to be more AT&T cellphone access points/towers for gameday to cater to the 125,000 or so fans on campus...

And no, it shouldn't come down to having to switch to Verizon. Not this late in the game. Maybe in 2000 that was the most logical solution.

No, but at least in that picture we had the excuse that the Westside was new and we'd update the south endzone eventually. Now that the Southside is done, it just doesn't go together at all. Granted, there's not much that could be done since the main problem is the design of the Westside, which is awfully ugly. without factoring in the Westside, the design of the Southside is great, and keeps the feel of the original architecture (except for the glass box), but nothing flows together. It just looks like a mess. Sad

I have tickets in lower SEZ but haven't been able to go in a few years because of back problems
In the past the benches in 406 were awful, they leaned back a ton, almost like they were installed incorrectly. So u either sat up on the high front end with your knees in someones back or sat towards back of seat leaning back

But someone told me they were replaced and now are flat like they should be. Is that correct? Backs better so trying to make some this year

Again, the stadium looks better than ever, it's the best place to watch a football game in the conference, bar none, and more improvements are on the way.

Try looking at the glass as half full, for a change.

What are they going to blame for low attendance when everyone has four bars of cellular reception?

I mean, it can't possibly be low-quality opponents and television-dictated kickoff times, right? Right?

Not saying that they won't get rid of the on screen ads, but they wouldn't be testing the screen with ads up. So this picture doesn't hold much weight.

Example:
