With all the recent events will LSU step up security on campus for game days? I know they changed the purse/bag rules but I'm expecting even more now.

Maybe they'll crack down on the ticket entrepreneurs.

Definitely wouldn't mind them increasing security checks at the gates. Even if it means I don't get in the stadium as quick as before.

I understand their reasoning (speed), but tiger stadium security is atrocious. Unless you have booze. That's obviously the more important thing to stop.

I would expect to see metal detectors before too long at all...

I got scanned with a wand going into radio city music hall. Thought it was weird but was fine with it.

They need metal detectors. Especially in being in BR with all of this crap, I would hate for something crazy to happen at that sacred place. Plus I will be at a few games and I dont want us fans who are there to have a good time, to fear for our lives while we are there to watch Leonard Fournette lead us to a National Championship.

I don't see anything happening there.

It's pretty scary how little security there really is. Game days really are a prime target for an attack. I'd expect it to tighten up pretty soon

Around the stadium itself, maybe. There's only so much you can do with tens of thousands of people spread over a couple of square miles. TBH I'm surprised there's not a lot more in the way of car breakins, purse snatchings, etc.

Errybody panic!

Seriously, though, while it may be relatively easy to walk through the gates, there's always tons of security inside and out (some in plainclothes that you don't even notice). There'd be little to no surprise, which is why attacks generally occur in unexpected places at unexpected times.

Don't be alarmist. I'm far more worried about a train derailing than a shooting.

I'm not panicking, I'll be there. But I acknowledge that being in large public gathering carries a risk in this day and age. It's a small risk, but it is a risk.

I mean nobody is panicking. Big crowds like that are big targets it's just a fact. Wont stop me or anyone from going though

Probably increase security for getting into the student section and leave everything else alone.

You can only bring clear bags into stadium starting this year.

I only snuck flasks into TS but I have seen the occasional fifth in the stands before. I have no idea how you'd get one of those in with all the ball grabbing security does
