Great effort but the expansion they're currently talking about would be a lot smaller than the upper deck you drew. It'd be a tinier upper deck disconnected from the other two stretching between the two video screens in each corner. See Alabama's upper deck for an idea, and then cut it in half.

That would add alot more than the 7k they're talking about.

Oh I thought they said that it would connect the two upper decks?

I'm thinking the suites, stadium club, and video boards will basically connect. But the scale of the other seats will be far less, which I think is a good thing and necessary thing. There is demand for more tickets, but not necessarily general admission tickets. Move the opposing fans up there, add seats that are revenue producers, and if ever demand is there, build it up even more up there.

do you realize how small a 1500 seat upper deck is? thats basically one row across the endzone above the new suites. the east upperdeck seats 10,000 i believe. the new south endzone upper deck would be 1/10 the size of the east upper deck.

I really have no clue. I'm still pumped about this though. I know some people are going to bitch about the rendering because it won't truly wrap around.

Yes, I realize it and I could give a shite about trying to make it bigger for the sake of being bigger. I want a full stadium over a big one that's empty.

1 Row does not equal 1500 seats, unless that row is roughly 800 yards across

Tiger Authority I totally agree with you. I'm just pointing out that a 1500 seat upper deck is SMALL!

Even with adding more seats, I'm still about 10 years away from getting season tickets. I'm no OT baller..

I got you. Yeah, it's not big but I think the admin is just adhering to the demand structure.

I think it's a great idea actually, just for the fact of sticking the visitor seats up there and getting them out of the lower bowl.

[1,500/(22 seats per row)] / (~16 sections) = ~4 rows if general seating wraps around the whole end zone

Are there 16 sections in the south endzone now?

I think there are 12. And if they continue the same trend from the other upper decks, there will be slightly more, smaller sized sections. 16 is a roundabout guess.

If you look at the endzone suites and upper deck at Razorback Stadium, it's probably going to look similar to that.
