Since we are having this discussion, what if we take it a step further...

They have something called BEAM Interactive Projection System for kids games to be projected onto floors. What if LSU had a similar concept and projected past big plays onto the field during timeouts, halftime, etc.
Sure they don't have top down video of all the big plays but they could maybe use just Xs and Os of all the players running around. There might have to be some "artistic liberties" involved. The Xs and Os could have #s on them.

Earthquake Games 1 and 2
Bluegrass MIracle
Billy Canons Halloween Run
Etc...

run the accompanying play by play over the sound system. Seeing a bunch of Xs bouncing off an O with the 20 on it running down the sideline with play by play blaring sounds more interesting to me than watching some old black and white video for the 1000th time.

Ya it's gimmicky but so is blinding purple lights

A friend of mine has epilepsy and he misses about 4 minutes of watching the game everytime they set off them LED things. I keep telling him to not look at the lights but he can't help himself. ...

I just wabt a holographic tiger on the field.

And then, of you wan a do old plays on the field, do it in Alternate Reality. Have people turn on their camera app and point to see it replay .

Push it past doing led lights like the rest.

Set the standard again like what we did with locker room

I say we just do it, embrace it and move on. Would be pretty sweet for Callin Baton Rouge.

Are the current lights at Tiger Stadium instant on and off? Or do they require warmup?

I mean either way would be good/cool its just we don't need it, expensive, and there is something to be said about experiencing stuff in its natural environment rather than like say a disco club.

Yes, and if on a camera app, you could have your kids play on it like they do in the theaters now. Maybe at half time they could be zapping little nick sabans running around on the field with their phones. High scores could be posted real time to the scoreboard.

Think people think!

I'm fine with the lights so long as we upgrade the video board and audio system as well. Those should honestly come first

I will add that the video board in the north end and the sound system must come first. Then if they want it go for it. I am kind of indifferent to the LED lights myself.

Who cares about how expensive it will be? Or if we need bathrooms or some other renovation first? They are paying O $17 million to not coach. Money is no issue for these programs. Just do all of it as quick as possible. The longer you bitch and moan, the longer it takes to catch up.

Some 12 year old kid doesn’t care at all about “traditions” or “natural environment” of the stadium. They just want to be entertained. Stuff like that makes an impact on kids and sells LSU.

It's very cool-looking. Only thing is, if your date has epilepsy, just blindfold the bitch and enjoy.

Half of the fans in the middle sections will have seizures if you put crazy lights because they are old as hell and prone to them

Men's room problem is an extremely cheap fix. Back in the day, you just walked up and pissed on the wall. Never a line back then. We should just start pissing on the wall again and maybe LSU will bring back the most efficient men's rooms on the planet.
