boom what? i said "probably", and "could be". I would guess, maybe not him or the people directly above him, but the higher powers or owners of whatever sub he works for will frown at that. I dont know his contracts but i bet there is something in there against it.

Just to clarify here.

You did say "could be" and "probably" so no harm no foul there.

But if I was you,I wouldn't be "betting" on what is in my contract, without having read it. It's a commercial job, not an industrial job. People come through this job site day in and day out on "tours" and everyone of them is packing a camera.

Students regularly come in from the north side and take pictures and even hold interviews with all of the SEZ in the background.

A few months ago, Shaq was there holding an interview on video,on the field, all the while, work was going on in the background. And then after that the news was out there taking tons of video of the whole project.

A couple weeks ago the contractors all had a "topping off ceremony". Which consisted of many owners of contractor and sub contractor companies. And they were all taking pics lol.

But had this been an industrial job inside DOW OR EXXON. You would be absolutely correct. Under no circumstances would I be allowed to take any video or photographs.

So in all fairness, you're on the right track. And you are correct about the contractual rules and stipulations. But it's the wrong jobsite. No harm no foul

Now what say we get back to talking about how awesome our stadium is gonna be this football season, and leave all this legal mumbo jumbo behind ?

I like having an inside guy to post pictures that we otherwise wouldn't see or would have to wait to see.

Anytime man. Glad I could be of assistance.

Hopefully Thursday I'll have some pics of the SW video board.

Apparently with them it is totally cool to stand underneath a heavy lift as long as you record it and put it on youtube.

SE scoreboard looks done from outside the stadium. They have "LSU" on top of it and everything. It's big.

Indeed.

I think it looks good. I'm curious to see what will be on top of the SW scoreboard.

Do you know if a new "Death Valley" sign will appear as part of the expansion? I recall seeing an interior rendering that showed that and a few new ribbon boards.

No, that is just rain and them not being finished.

The south end zone renderings are lighter than the current color of the north endzone.

And if you look at the top of the expansion this seems to be right

Yea I thought in a rendering there was a ribbon board on the lower part of the south endzone they were going to add. In the construction pictures they haven't touched that area.

You're not thinking they'll put the same "LSU" on top of that one as well?

If in the future they expand the north endzone which was once a topic of discussion but reduce the amount of seats in the existing stadium to allow for larger more luxurious seating will this still constitute as an expansion or a reduction to the stadium???

I wouldn't think so.
If I had to guess, I would guess it would probably say TIGERS.

But that's just a guess.

I was discussing this today with a co worker.

We're both hoping that a new Death Valley sign makes an appearance.

I would have guessed the other would also say "LSU", to make it uniform by topping them both off with the logo. But your guess is probably more informed than mine.

Is the only thing you ever offer to the expansion threads nothing but negativity? Do you ever have anything positive to say? You always seem like a glass half empty guy all the time.

Yeah I'd be happy to see that. Hopefully they also stick with the plan to put in ribbon boards.

I always liked it's location on the old pressbox. The visiting team walks out by Mike's trailer and then see's the "Welcome to Death Valley" sign.

Found the rendering I was talking about:

ETA: Shows both video boards being topped by the "LSU" signs.

My memory is vague but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing this at the Spring game in that same location but on the east side(so like on the wall of the lower bowl between the upper deck). Then I think I turned around and looked up and saw it on the west side as well. Or maybe it was just on one side...either way I'm pretty sure there was a "Welcome to Death Valley" sign that wasn't there before.
