So, they spent all of that money replacing the windows just to cover them up with a new section in the SEZ?

That is a footing. The sides are forms. The columns are sitting on top of the footing foundation. And it's got a ways to go before its completely formed on grade and ready to pour.

Oaks near north enz will die. Too much root destruction and compaction.

I was thinking the same thing. Not nearly enough root area left undisturbed. Such a huge waste.

I think the only thing worth killing an oak for is the expansion of Tiger Stadium or the preservation of a historic building (Journalism, Memorial Tower, anything in the Quad but Middleton, old law building).

Even so, I'm sure that between the contractor and LSU, someone thought of the trees.

I assume (and hope) so as well.

and i don't understand why they are putting up all these precast concrete columns that don't match anything on the stadium. they just look goofy.
The North End columns going up now, match the ones that were erected on the West side last year. The columns look OK, but those Domino's boxes on top of the columns look like shite.

You're correct though in that none of these new additions match the exterior architecture of the original bowl, but the West side didn't look as bad as I thought it would because it all kinds of blends together at night with all the lights on.

I agree. This along with the south endzone, im Sure they'll tie it all together. I actually saw this morning they're starting construction on the area around the Athletic Admin. building. I think just new concrete/landscaping.

You might be able to get tickets in the southwest corner of the endzone.

LSU is relocating the majority of the visitor seats to the new south upper deck.

Approximately 1500 visitor seats are being relocated from the SEZ east side lower deck to the top of the new SEZ expansion. About time LSU started giving visitors the same crappy seats we get to away games.

That would be awesome - one on the new south endzone and one on the tailgate deck on the north endzone.
