I mean its "none of my business" if someone wants to yell racist things at recruits, but that doesn't mean I would be crazy for pointing out that doing so is not in the best interest of the football program.

Guess what? The fanbase is there when the team needs them.
Up by 40 against Sam Houston, people are going to leave. Up 40 against MSST people are going to leave. Down 3 against Bama, the stadium will be at capacity.

Fine, but check out the MSU game two years ago and LSU has a 13 point lead but MSU has a 1st and goal with ~2 minutes remaining... and well under half the crowd remained. And listen how many times it is mentioned in a negative way on TV.

I get your point, but most of the stadium probably left when we went up by two scores with ~ 5 minutes left... against a team that hasn't beaten us this century.

I don't go to the games that often because it takes 3 hours to get back to Denham Springs after the games. I would guess that the traffic is the main reason people are leaving early.

Ok, so your interested in the national opinion of our fan base. Good. Shouting Bitch or STTD in my opinion is embarrassing to our university. So why are you endorsing it? Our own administration says don't do it. I suggest that you mature some more, and if you can, give more financially to the university not only to football but other areas including academics. I'd rather be associated with a university known for top sports facilities and better academics than a university that has a full stadium screaming vulgar cheers heard on national television. That's just me though, you scream what you want and I will leave when I chose to leave.

Who endorsed this? I most certainly don't.
The fact is, both "STTD" and the half-empty stadium reflects terribly on LSU.
However, only one of those can be shown (easily) in photo/video format to national TV audiences and by coaches of our rivals to recruits considering us and them.

not exactly a genuine statement... if I an unbiased CFB fan watching on TV, is it possible to discern "STTB" clearly? Barely/no. Can it be heard? Sort of.
