Have you MENSA members even paid attention this year? Where did the QBs throw most of their INTs? Answer that then ask about TEs over the middle again.

You mean the I'm gonna throw it to him hell or be damned INTs or the obvious overthrow INTs.

Whatever. I'll call Jimmy Graham and tell him to not be looking for a raise, he causes more trouble than he's worth and Gonzales that his whole career was a lie.

HA, nah i have never played or watched a game of football. ah Sometimes i wish some of you knew who i was.

effective use of tight end = lethal offense
look at teams that use the tight end in passing attack, even if to take something away from the defense, and enable more one on one match-ups

Seems like the TE hasn't been utilized at Lsu since like the 90's.

Les doesn't like throws in the middle of the field since LEE 08. We did it often under Crowton. Also, Jefferson and Zach did not go through their progressions to hit the TE as the 3rd option. If it wasn't called, it wasn't an option. Les doesn't like it and the last two tall release QB's could not do it efectively. We really didn't use the backs down the middle either, which is very effective against Saban's scheme. This year we didn't need it, but it is always a good option.

some of you clueless clowns can't even be talked to. A TE threat is an integral part of a CC offense throughout his history and if it doesn't show sooner rather than later its because of influence from on high. I'm done, have fun

Great. Now wipe the drool from your keyboard and go lay down. You've had a long day.

Ugh. None of our TEs were viable threats.

I don't think that's true. Dillon Gordon showed soft hands and good athletic ability for a 280+ savage. Richard Dickson has shown receiving ability when given an opportunity, and DeSean Smith has big-time talent, but maybe he wasn't quite ready this year, I don't know.

Personally, I'm partial to the TE pass, but it's hard to find fault with the offensive game plan this year, as it was the best ever in yards gained:

Yards Gained Per Play

2013 - 6.9

1945 - 6.7 (Previous record)

Yards Gained Per Game

2013 - 453.3

2001 - 451.5 (Previous record)

Those previous records are from the 2013 LSU Football Media Guide.

That's not to say that the offense couldn't have been bolstered by a few more passes to the TEs, but I won't nitpick that production. However, with all the TEs returning, and the addition of Jacory Washington, I'm hoping they'll be more involved in the passing game next year.

BTW, Dillon Gordon was phenomenal this year as a blocker.

There is only one football on the field, and only one person can carry it at a time. After you divide touches between Landry, Beckham, Hill, and Magee, doesn't leave room for much more.

Usually a 3rd option unless it is a designed play. When he have 1-2 WRs like OBJ and Jarvis you don't call too many plays designed to others

I'll believe it when i see it. Miles has shown me nothing that shows that the Tight End will be apart of the passing game.
