That's the general consensus. But, I know nothing more than what I read on the net.

IF Jimbo leaves, who do you want as the next head coach of Florida State?

Flo from Progressive. That's what some dude in the bar said last night, but he was pretty trashed.

Thanks for a respectful post in enemy territory Bret and agree on your points. I don't think Jimbo would come if exwife didn't agree to move with him as he would want to be close to children. That being said sometimes change is good and is needed by both sides. No one could argue they are not having some problems in Tallahassee and I along with many think he and she although divorced move to Baton Rouge. Good luck tomorrow against Fla I can't say I'm pulling for FSU but I an Fisher especially if he's our next coach.

Me? Obviously my pick isn't real popular with many who post here. I would make my first call to Hugh Freeze. If he can recruit and win at Ole Miss, he certainly should be able to recruit and win at FSU.

And, Les Miles would be on the first page of my list.

OK. My crack investigative squad has just laid it out to me. Apparently the seeds of discord were sewed into Jimbo's marriage when he made the fateful decision to move his wife out of Baton Rouge and into that hell hole called Tallahasee. In an attempt to save his marriage, he called his old boss for a favor. Nick called in a few markers from influential power players in BR and the decision was made to can Miles to open a spot for Jimbo.

I heard his wife was unfaithful and it is a messy divorce and that his Dr or one Dr is in fact in BR.

FSU is a top tier job. In $'s, winning tradition, current situation, ability to recruit and compete, national prestige: FSU is at least not far behind, if not right up there or above LSU (marginally either way)

So if Fisher leaves it is because he wants out of Tallahassee for reasons outside of that. I'm speculating but maybe he has a riff with some important people there, he thinks his personal situation would improve if he moves, or he just needs a change. This isn't the case here but when situations like that are present occasionally people change jobs even for less money.

There might be. But, all indications are Jimbo has a good working relationship between himself, the AD and the president.

But, who knows what goes on when the lights and the mikes are off?

From all indications he is happy at FSU and happy in Tallahassee. This has all been discussed but there are a lot of guys coming back the next 2 years along with some great recruiting classes. Playing Ole Miss and Bama along with the usual meh ACC schedule sets up a nice scenario for a playoff run in 16 and 17. LSU is obviously a great program but if he walks away it will be about money, not because he wants to get away from FSU. Either way it will be exciting.
