Thoughts on Fisher from a Nole fan.

Let me introduce myself. I am a Nole. I come in peace. I am a guest here. I appreciate being allowed to post here. I do not take that for granted.
A couple of things y'all may or may not know about Jimbo. His decision to leave FSU for LSU, or stay at FSU, will be based on far more than just football.
You can look up the following information for more details if you wish. Here it is in a nutshell. Two major things are going on in his life.
1. He is going through a divorce. He has two young children (under 15). I have no idea what the custody and visitation parameters are at the present time. I do know he is very close to both of them.
2. The younger of those two kids has a very rare disease. It is life threatening. (Life expectancy is under 30.) Jimbo is very pleased with the medical care he is getting in Tallahassee. I'm sure there are outstanding doctors in Louisiana. I have no idea who the doctors are or where they are located. (Could be in Gainesville at Shands Hospital.)
Just pointing out that with the divorce and with the medical situation, Jimbo will have more on his plate than just a football decision.
I won't make this post any longer. I'll post my thoughts on who I think y'all will end up with (yes, I think Les is toast) in a different post.
Thanks for allowing me to enter your community.

Thank you and welcome. Both of those topics have been thoroughly discussed here.

Good perspective.
Ultimately, I think unless something else is going on/Rant conspiracy theories are true, FSU will match any (mostly reasonable) LSU offer and he'll stay.
Now, if FSU doesn't close the gap and/or LSU just makes some nuts offer...

Thanks. If we get him fine. If not we still made the right move IMO.

1. If his ex-wife consents and wants to come back (I have no idea if she does or not), then all marital issues, including custody, are moot.
2. His kid has fanconi anemia, and although it's rare, it's not so rare and complex that only a handful of places in the US can treat it. I've heard that one of his doctors are actually in Louisiana.

I have seen it posted that his son's doctor is actually in Baton Rouge. If that's the case that's is a big point in favor of him moving. Of course, the divorce and custody highly complicate things.

Talks with jimbo has gone on far longer than a week or two...
I'm sure he has taken all that into consideration in deciding to come to LSU.
Why would his wife/famy stay in Tallahassee after he left? There would be nothing for them there...
We have hospitals/healthcare in La too...
Welcome

If anything it makes me wonder if all of that weight on himbwoll effect his ability to coach at any university.
I hope we are not making a huge mistake getting him as a coach with so many distractions.

Solid points. Though I've "heard" he is leaving FSU whether it's for LSU or somebody else. Just what I heard, which is about as insightful as your post.

Aleva is using his big swinging penis Jedi mind tricks to mind f**k your AD out of his coach. Your Ad will hand Jimbo over to us after tricking your own boosters into paying his and Miles buyouts. We are sorry for having to resort to these tactics but we will also use our powers to send you a decent replacement. Maybe even Miles himself.
BTW welcome aboard

No problem having you here, but you should read before you post.
Jimbo's personal situation in the context of him taking the LSU job has been discussed quite thoroughly and often here.
