1) Refs were unbelievably bad - I just don't get it. Either let them play or call fouls. Half the fouls on Victor were not right.
2) Why did Jones take them out of the zone towards the end of the game when they were shooting low % shots from from mid court
3) Quarterman drives me crazy - bad pass, hands on hips, great play...inconsistent
4) Let Hornsby shoot a bit more please
5) Defensive rebounds at the end were non-existent
6) Pulling Malone in the game with 1 min left when Victor fouled out and when your previous lineup was working was MIND BLOWING
7) Ben is smooth as silk - glad he is a Tiger - LSU BB hasn't ever had so much exposure
8) This should have been a Tiger win by 10 - Jones needs to figure out how to coach defense and learn to pay the refs a bit more

This could be a great team....but so could have the team with Shaq. Still love the Tigers!!! Looking forward to the rest of the season.

How old are you? LSU has had just as much if not more exposure back in the days of Shaq, Roberts and Jackson. I was not alive during Pistol's years but Pistol far and away had more exposure back in his day than Ben. Pistol would run circles around Simmons. That is no disrespect toward Ben, Pete was that fricking good....and btw...Shaq's teams would blow out this team with ease. This years team plays no defense and sometimes run a offense that high school teams run. At least Shaq's team made NCAA tourneys.

CSB....Back in 92 roommate and I were walking to the Maravich Center and we saw Shaq walking from his dorm as well. We walked the rest of the way with him and he was cool as can be. We were playing Georgia that night and wished Shaq a great game as we entered the Center. He goes on and misses a ton of free throws that night and we end of losing by 2. Maravich center was rocking that night.

In regards to LSU exposure, I used to go watch Shaq play....but back then you didn't have 5 or more college BB games on TV every night. Just about every time I turn on BB now they always talk about LSU. We are 12-7 and all the announcers are in love with us.

NOW LET'S MAKE IT TO THE DANCE!!

He put Darcy in for rebounding purposes. Then called a timeout and put Hornsby in. Although Darcy sucks, good coaching move

No. There was hardly any exposure for anyone back then

There wasn't much exposure for them back then either. They weren't that special relatively speaking. The matchup with Loyola was great, but they didn't really have exposure and there were several teams that were just better. UNLV, Georgetown, Arky and Duke were the programs with all the exposure. There was a lot of excitement and energy at the LSU games but not with the media.

You should think before you post. The only teams back then they were getting exposure with the blue bloods. With ESPN and all of that now a days we are getting way more exposure than ever. It's just the way it is with technology now.

I was so happy to finally see ben and 4 guards on the court. JJ should go that route instead of playing any of the 4 post reserves whenever possible. Blakney and quarterman (when he shows up) are good rebounding guards and it really opens up the floor for Ben to penetrate. Also, if Ben will continue to pull up and hit the 15 foot jumper it will help so much. The d won't be able to just pack the lane

Pete didn't play defense in general and damn sure wouldn't stop 6'10'' Simmons.

you mean putting?

because he took him out after we got possession and called a time out. He was in for the boards only. It worked out.

Yes putting. It only worked out because Johnny Jones call timeout.

Vidtiger, you are a tool. You have no clue. LSU with Shaq was on Super Tuesday or Wednesday almost every week and this was before all the ESPN channels giving them exclusive exposure.

He only put him in because he knew he was going to call the timeout.

Hornsby was at the scorers table. The plan all along was a TO to put Hornsby in for offense, Malone was only there to rebound.

Big win. Bama really played solid and made some incredible shots.
Sometimes on the road, you just find a way to win and they did.
