The medical decision not to play Tebow against LSU was made, in effect, when he got admitted to the hospital in Kentucky and a CT Scan of the head was done. There is no way any neurologist will say, " He's OK and what happened 9/27 was no big deal." Tebow is on the shelf at least for 4 weeks, and then he will be re-evaluated.

Hitman, have you been watching ESPN. Myer just basically said Tebow will be ready for LSU, and Tebow was at practice all day studying our defensive schemes. You guys gotta quit all this wishful thinking and face reality.

stop, right there. That warrior shite won't cut it once you suffer a concussion, he can be stoopid if he wants to and continue with the same reckless style, he'll just windup right back in the hospital.

Interesting take by Doyel. Didn't he go to Florida? I don't think Tebow will play, but I do think Meyer will say it's undecided right up until game time to keep LSU guessing.

I'm not sure if I want him to play or not. I don't care if we beat Florida without him, I just want the W. If he plays, and he's not 100%, that might be better for LSU. Brantley's more than capable, and we know next to nothing about him.

Someone's opinion that I read somewhere was that isn't he insured against injury? IF he is (which why wouldn't he be) wouldn't the insurance guys have something to say about whether or not he plays????

Well this is really a no win situation for LSU. If he plays and we win, he wasn't 100%. If he doesn't play and we win its because he wasn't there. If he doesn't play and we lose we drop out of the top 25 bc we lost to a UF team with no Tebow. And if he does play and we lose we'll be hearing about tebows heroic return to defeat #4 LSU.

I hope he doesn't play. Not bc I think UF will be weaker...I want their absolute best so LSU can be measured when they play the best. I don't want him to play for his sake.
The guy is tough no doubt about it. But to pretend that if he gets another savage hit, that he doesn't run the risk of ending his football career and possibly his life, is lunacy.

He may be a "warrior" but for all his toughness and leadership and ability...he is still human

So what if Tebow plays, runs for over a hundred and throws for two hundred, and we get drummed by 30? I could care less if we beat them, and people say, "but they didn't have Tebow." The W's all that matters.

This is a game they can sit him and play Brantley, even if they lose to LSU chances are they finish unbeaten the rest of the schedule and play in the SECCG.

Exactly. No reason to give your opponent two weeks to work on Brantley when you can have them preparing for both quarterbacks

If we win this weekend, the hype for next week's game will be awesome. We'll get to hear about LSU/Florida all week on every media outlet. If we lose...

damn, why couldn't tebow have this injury later in the season right before the sec championship game (if we even get there) and have us beat florida with tim tebow at full health this year in tiger stadium.

Do you think playing quarterback in two weeks against the enormous and fast LSU defense qualifies as "normal activity"?
