To the guy wanting all the FBS conferences to end their play on the same weekend to avoid giving advantages to players and teams for heisman and national championship votes.....they do. Bama didn't make the conference championship game so their season ended a week earlier than the big 12's schedule.

the conferences that dont have championship games finish on the same weekend which makes their season a week longer, AND gives them an extra bye week somewhere in the season where it can be extremely beneficial
i think it should be more standardized, all games start and finish on the same weekend, and CCG's be an extra weekend for only those teams
but i dont see it changing any time soon

I don't see it changing either unless the big 12 goes back to having a championship game.
Makes you wonder if that cost OSU a shot at the BCSNG. Maybe one more quality win would have been enough to push them past Bama.
