The defense: IMO is good but will not be dominate against the better QBs. But they are good enough to get key stops.

The offense: IMO running game nothing really needs to be said. The passing game needs work it looked better against SC but I am still worried about the pass protection breakdowns.

USCe showed that our line can be exposed at times and losing JDM really seemed to bother LF. Florida I'm sure will sell out to stop the run and Harris must be able to make them pay. Your Thoughts?

Did it bother him in the second half? He's not always going to have 150+ after the first half.

Yep. They will sell out to stop the run, but still not be able to "stop" it. LSU will still rush for over 200 yards, but that will not be enough. We will need some yards in the passing game.

I think the key to the game for LSU is just to not fall behind. We either need to be ahead or very very close. If anybody MAKES us have to pass the ball it's not going to be great for us. I don't see Florida being ahead by 14+ late and forcing us in that situation though.

However, Harris showed last year against Mississippi State that he can do with his arm if needed.

I see us running down hill on them all game, will have plenty opportunity for designed qb runs and play action pass.

Special teams are going to matter this game.

I just hope our nutcase fan base doesn't freak the hell out if we lose. Contrary to popular belief, losing is a real possibility.

This is true of most offenses but do you honestly think that any defense will, or even should, sell out to stop passes in obvious situations? If they go to a prevent, Fournette gashes them for 10 yards a run. There is no great defensive game plan for an offense like ours. A capable QB with a dominate RB is the hardest offense to defend in my opinion.

The key to that statement is at times. SC does not have a dominate defensive line. When teams like SC can get you your QB more than 2 or 3 times a game ii is a reason to be concerned IMO.

Our running game is actually not as simple as last year's as we will run or even pass out of multiple formations. IMO the problem for Florida's defense is to figure out who gets the ball. We have 2 very capable running backs besides Fournette who can break for significant runs. Also with BH improving every week I am anticipating a robust passing game even with Florida's DBs.

Our pass blocking is garbage but we already knew that.
