Dan Radakovich. LSU had him 10 years ago under Skip but he left for GT and has been at Clemson for 4 years. Seems to have worked out pretty well for him, also Clemson has a good BB team go figure. Radakovich is a great fund raiser something Skip hated to do. LSU should reach out to this man when they get rid of Joe. Problem is I don't know if LSU is smart enough to do that. I can say this because LSU hired Aleva originally when they could have hired Radakovich.

I like how you left out the part where Dan bolted on Georgia tech while they were a dumpster fire. He didn't make a single decent hire and left Tech on probation.

But he's "an LSU guy". I'm not saying he'd be terrible at LSU, but it's naive to suggest he's some elite athletic director. He hasn't really accomplished anything of note at Clemson either yet

Eta: I'm cool with alleva being fired, but let's not be so short sighted in our search because an AD has LSU ties and is riding the coat tails of a hire he didn't even make

No one with self respect will work for the clowns at LSU.

Radakovich is a much more attractive hire now than he was when we hired Aleva. I'm sure we wanted someone who was already an AD. Timing matters with this as much as coaches.

Yeah maybe the answer is the AD from Tulane.

I'd like to know more about G. TEch.
The first question is who would be the best AD available, not whether we know somebody with LSU ties who is available.
I am suspicious of any incestuous Former LSU/ Louisiana hires.
HAve we learned anything from JJ, Orgeron hires?

wtf? why is it that people are so hostile these days. I tell you this; I have tons of self respect and i'd gladly work for LSU. yea, I disagree with some things they do but that doesn't make them awful. esp with all of my self respect, I do recognize that I've actually been wrong before and realized it when all of the facts were known. LSU may be a public institution but all of the behind the scene machinations are most certainly not shared with the public, and it's a damn good thing.

No they don't. They lost by 48 yesterday and are 13-9 and 3-7 in conference.

The football coach he hired at Tech guaranteed they'd never win a national title and the basketball coach he hired at Tech is was worse than JJ. The Clemson basketball coach is no better than JJ but he's let him stay on comfortably even though he's had just one NIT in appearance the last 5 seasons. Their women's basketball program just won their 2nd ACC game in about 44 tries.

If our next AD is anyone but Scott Woodward we fricked up. LSU alum, on team that brought Saban to LSU, hired as AD at Washington and turned that program around (fired Willingham, hired/fired Sark, hired Peterson), and now AD at TAMU. Biggest no-brainer ever. Guy bleeds p&g too.

I thought that Skip's ability as a fundraiser was what got him the job?

Should of kept him as HC and named him AD and told Skip to move along.

If you are an LSU Alum or care about all LSU Sports, then let your feelings be known to all the appropriate "Powers that Be." (FKA, TAF, BOS)

If Radakovich were AD at LSU, Johnson, Fargas and Jones wouldn't have been hired in the first place and Miles wouldn't have dragged on long after he should have been history.

I'd like Radakovich or Mitch Barnhardt at Kentucky to be the next LSU AD.

Alabama did their homework and had their new AD in place as soon as Battle departed. Doubt you see things go that smoothly here, as "Good Ole Boy" crooked and greasy Louisiana/LSU politics will interfere and most likely prevent the best man for the job from being hired...................

Scott Woodward

This is the most obvious, and the absolute only, choice there should be for the next AD hire at LSU. There shouldn't even be any other names on the list, because if the BoS can't bring him home, they should all quit.
