Lmao! I can't remember the last time we have lost to MSU. I love being the underdog.

***Updated: 07/16/14***
Jesse Palmer now has LSU finishing 5th in the SECW.

Hey, I don't see it either but just because they haven't beat us in a long time don't mean it can't happen this year.

I actually agree with Palmer for once. MSU is going to be a team to watch out for. What's going to kill us (IMO) is that we will be relying heavily on the ground game.

While I do not agree, it's not a completely ridiculous opinion to hold.

This will be their best team in years and they usually have a competetive defense. They play us close for 3 quarters a year.

IMO, the SECW is wide open. Almost everyone who is usually at the top have questions.
Auburn - defense
Alabama - QB; secondary
LSU - QB, DT, WR
Texas A&M - defense, QB

I'm actually poking fun at Palmer. He has always been fair in his analyst of LSU. This is Ole Miss and MSU best chance to take the west. They both return their QBs and many starters.

I agree. I like our young talent over MSU. Ole Miss is the team that always seems to give us problems. If we were to lose to MSU, it would be a very long season.

This should be a very close and exciting game, like many on the Tigers' schedule.

Another thing to remember is that the MSU head coach is under the gun this year to do more winning.

Exactly. LSU has won 19 out of the last 20 games against MSU. That's remarkable!

If there was a ever a year for them to do it, this is it. LSU has very little experience at the offensive skill positions, and the defense is coming off it's worst season in 5 years. MSU has an effective returning starter at QB, along with veteran guys at other positions. Last season was one of their best offensive outputs against LSU in a while. Unfortunately, LSU doesn't look like it has an offense this year that can make up for poor defensive play.

I still think LSU wins, but wouldn't be SHOCKED to see MSU win this year.

I still don't get the bashing of the defense. They started out really poorly, but became a top 3 or 4 SEC defense despite that slow start. I think people failed to realize the improvement and the fact that our offense finished in the middle of the pack by the year's end. The major problem with our defense was still the same though....we couldn't close out halves or games without giving up a score.

worst season in 5 years.
we finished in the top 5 of the sec. Relative to the teams we play, we had a better defense. Including Miss State. They aren't beating us. Every year someone says they are the trap game. Id me more worried ab the other miss school.
