how appropriate that the decline of the U was evident in the 2005 Peach Bowl vs LSU...

The 2012 Chicken Bowl was the exposure of LSU...

The complete lack or creativity on offense, the lack of focus and execution by the players, the inability for players to be "coached up", the amount of off field issues

tell me where I am wrong...

I know GFY ... tl/dr...

It's still correctable. But the first step is to acknowledge the problem which hasn't happened yet.

Come on. Last night sucked, but 40-3 isn't the same as losing on the last play 25-24.

This same thing was said after 2008 and 2009.

I hope mike Detillier is right about this being the best signing class coming up in 2013.

Whats frustrating is that the offense is fixable, just no attempt is made in fixing it.

OP is right. We're done. All of our defensive talent is going to leave, the offense is a train wreck, we're only going to win 8 games next year. Recruiting will decline.

We thought TAMU was rising to be our rival, instead they were rising to replace us.

This is the beginning of the end. It was fun while it lasted.

According to this board, we've been on the decline the last 5 years. Except we haven't really.

If this is the way some of you handle a loss, I hate to see how you handle a real life crisis.

Good. Dropping the dead weight from the fan base. This is great.

I hope they were all coached well in high school...

I don't think the program is in decline, but 2012 was down year, just like 2008 and 2009.

LSU is still an elite program.

Thanks goes out to Jarrett Lee. Comeback wins vs. Tenn, and Fla, plus a save against Bama kept us from 4-5 losses in '10

All JL in 2011. Big wins with ease against ranked teams kept us from a 3-4 loss season

Hey man, I thought we were seeing it early 2010.

I thought 2008 and 2009 were warning signs and 2010 looked like a continuation of the decline early in that year.

But that Florida game turned it around. That ball bounces the other way, who knows what happens.

But it turned into a "the Mad Hatter is back" moment and it re-energized the fan base and team.

I think we've got enough talent to continute to win just enough, but I guess what just enough is can be relative.

Miles has to 'man' up. I know that may be a reach. But, man up and hire an accomplished OC now!

As long. There is still anger, the LSU Nation is ok. I am afraid another 9-3 or worse next year will invite widespread apathy, which is MUCH worse IMO

To answer the OP, no, this is not what a program in decline looks or feels like.

Sorry to be blunt, but you're a dolt for thinking to ask. Your "concern" is misplaced only because this is one of the most successful football eras at LSU.

Demand perfection with an understanding that it is extremely difficult to achieve.

Now looking at a Tennessee over the past 10 yrs. should give you an answer to your question.
