quote:

This past August, Coco Orgeron turned 77. Her son called on her birthday, and she shared a thought that had occurred to her earlier that day.

Orgeron's high school team won a state title in 1977. His uniform number was 77. And now she was 77, too.

"This is your year," she told him.

"Mom," he said, "we're going to have the best team this year. I have a great feeling."

Coco smiles about it now, enjoying the coincidence.

77 yards up the middle by CEH on the first play would fit in nicely.

I saw and heard Ms. Coco call out a bandwagon fan in church. He was talking to me before mass about the season and Ms. Coco walked up and told him, "I thought you quit following LSU last year? Don't act like you're a big fan now" I was like go ahead Ms. Coco get him LOL.

She downplays the whole LSU fame thing but that was really cool to see her defend the tigers and her son to a Johnny come lately.
