As early as it is, this is the most production we've gotten from a freshman class where the guys play a major key role in the offense. Fournette is a on the verge of breaking out and Harris has all it takes to be Mettenberger with legs. Dupre reminds me of AJ Green and Quinn is gonna have a huge role. Adams is a stud on defense and still has plenty of room to grow, and Godchaux is gonna a force next year on the D-Line and we still have Valentine who was the headline DT yet to play. This could be a special special class.

True.

The best is yet to come for Miles in BR.

That should be a scary thought for the rest of the SEC, not to mention the Miles bashers

Why? You do know who had the number 1 class, right?

We have 5 games to go off of for this class, with like 6 classes that have finished their careers already. These guys will be great, but let's just pump the brakes a second.

This class has the potential to be better than the 2011 offensive class and 2009 defensive class. I think Godchaux, Valentine, LMFAO, Adams, Battle, Paris, Garrett, Teuhema, will at least rival 2009, if not exceed it.

Definitely best offensive class. Still, Adams and Godchaux are seeing significant time on D and Paris should play more with D Thomas' injury. We'll know by next year at this time.

False. I'll give you a cheat sheet for this one. No player in your entire lifetime will be a Honey Badger type play maker. You've seen the one and only. Consider yourself lucky to have lived in those times.

+1

There will never be another player like him. The greatest college defensive player in history and our fans take it for granted and don't even realize it

I'm extremely confident the 2014 class will be the best.

Also the 2016 class will rival it. Talent in that class is off the charts.

The 09 class even had good role players like ... wiliford

Wiliford was the lowest rated player in that class, and started for (i think) 2 years until retiring bc of concussions.

the second lowest rated player in the class was Bennie Logan (unranked 3 star) who was a third round pick and now the starting DT for the Eagles. and since I just wrote this up for another thread, some of the others:

Michael Brockers
prospect ranking in the state - 23
prospect ranking nationally - 201
1st round pick of the Rams, number 14 overall

Barkevious Mingo
prospect ranking in the state - 8
prospect ranking nationally - 155
1st round pick of the Browns, number 6 overall

Morris Claiborne
prospect ranking in the state - 21
prospect ranking nationally - unranked 3 star
1st round pick of the Cowboys, number 6 overall

Kevin Minter
prospect ranking in the state - 18
prospect ranking nationally - unranked
2nd round pick of the Cardinals, number 45 overall

that class also had Chris Faulk, Rueben Randle (2nd round pick, Giants), Sam Montgomery (3rd round pick, Texans), Akiem Hicks (who obviously never played but now starts for the Saints), Michael Ford, Russel Shepard, and Craig Loston.

so, for all the "Miles only wins because we have so many great recruits", please note that the 2009 class had 3 first rounders, and none of them were in the top 150.

2011 holds that title down for now.
mett, hill, landry, obj, magee, hilliard, La'el, Turner.

this class is far better, plus idk about counting mett since he was a transfer.

you got the
#1 rb to replace hill
#1 wr to replace landry
#3 wr
you got darrell williams to replace the other two rbs who is a downright beast in his own right.
#2 dual threat qb to replace mett for 3-4 years.. keep in mind it took mett his senior season to truly have offensive success

la'el is hard to replace, however the defensive studs in this class far surpass any in the 2011 especially with jamal adams alone.. then you got the #2 mlb..

the hype on signing day I think this one is the best.

2009 was great because what it turned out to be. But this class has more 4 stars but less 5 stars than this class. I broke it down earlier, don't feel like doing it again.

If this class turns out to be like 2009, we will be great again.

It's hard to judge a class when they are only 5 games into their careers. Some of which are redshirts I'm sure.
