This is just like the 70's when everyone was trying to find a coach to beat Bear

...and they never did (at least until the very end of the Bear's career). There is no one better than Saban. Without a Chancellor like Mark Emmert running the show, the clowns we have in place will screw this up! I hate to be like Rhett Butler in the beginning of Gone With The Wind, but we are in war that for the next few years, we are going to lose!

Saban isn't the only coach we're losing to.

Please dont perpetuate the "LSUs only doing this to beat Saban" narrative. One, it makes us all look petty. Two, it makes us all look pathetic. Three, it makes us all look like jilted ex-lovers. Four, it puts Bama on a pedestal and Five, and most importantly, it just isnt true.

Sorry, I was too young to know what was going on in the 70s and since it's not currently the 70s I really don't care. But it sounds like you're on bama's cock so good job.

Know how I know you're dumb. Emmert wasn't AD.

AlwaysPutsSeatDown,

I lived that era and hear where you are coming from. Difference now is that there are much greater sanctions in place to prevent The Bear from buying that kind of win-loss record in today's world.

Although you do have a valid point if you are using Saban as the reference.

I think Urban Meyer has shown he can beat Saban. Did it at Florida and he has done it at Ohio State. Saban isn't this almighty unbeatable beast.

Except that Hugh Freeze, Urban Meyer, Kevin Sumlin, Bob Stoops, and Gus Malzahn all found ways to do it.
