The Jags played for the AFC Championship last year with Fournette as their feature cog in an offense that Tom Coughlin has always been successful at. Solid defense and a ball control offense. For the life of me, I'll never understand how Fournette let that pass drop by his feet without even attempting to catch it at the end of the AFC Championship game. Injuries have frustrated him this year and the Jags couldn't implement their offense without him. There are HOWEVER sure signs of narcissistic, entitled behavior. The Heisman pose was strange and the auctioning off of his jersey for SC hurricane victims was stranger. He actually told the world his jersey is worth something. The NCAA should have come down on him hard and donated the money themselves. If he grows up he can be a star in the NFL, if he remains immature then it's over. Next man up, they don't put up with BS

I criticized the Heisman pose at the time and got crucified on this board by teenagers that just said "let the kid have fun."

Glad now people can see what a terrible look that was for him (especially since it was a simple little TD run against Sam Houston State and he hadn't done a thing prior to that).

Big thing is he’s wasting time. The NFL is brutal and careers don’t last very long. There was a stat a few years ago that said 71% of NFL Players wind up bankrupt after being out of the league.

This, normal NFL careers can be short especially for running backs.

Strictly as a business decision, if I'm Fournette I hunker down, improve, be a team player and maximize my earnings.

Otherwise, it's too easy to flame out.

Talent will only take him so far, the rest is up to him.

RB's need to learn they have no leg to stand on when it comes to hardball contract negotiations.

LSU fans are puke worthy. It seems a too large percentage actually hate the players and revel in their troubles. Is it jealously or just innate dislike of the players?

On the front end, these fans are like high school girls drooling over the recruits. But once they leave or not live up to expectations, those type fans turn on them like rabid wolves. A sad lot they are.

Wouldn't this work out better for Buga?

It worked out great for JR. What is he doing now?

Running backs with a piss poor attitude don't have a great future in the NFL. Would you invest you money in that attitude?

The attitude is an outgrowth of a deeper character flaw. Showed up at LSU while LF7 was a Tiger. Back again as a Jag. Best thing for him would be for it to cost him $$$ and maybe that would get his attention in time for him to drop the ego trip and grow the hell up.

After he basically quit on LSU the end of his third year and basically quitting on Jags you think somebody is going to roll out the red carpet and pay him a ton of money.

Stop. Thats not waht happened. He had an injury which hampered him all season.

Even if what you claim was true, yes , the Jags did roll out the red carpet and apid him aton of money.

Fournette is making some young person mistakes in judgment. Hopefully he will take the off season to re-evaluate his decisions, take responsibility and become the player we all know he can be. He is not a bad person, just needs to understand the world no longer revolves around him.
