He gives zero fricks. He doesn't have the insane drive to win championships year in and year out(see story about 2010 auburn game when he talked to the official during the 4th quarter). He thinks winning 10 games is an awesome accomplishment and he's laughing on the way to the bank. In four more years he'll extort LSU for more money. It's a cycle.

9-3, 10-2 will pay for it and thats all Alleva cares about.

11 wins = bad

9 wins = disaster

8 wins = holocaust

definitely dude. You got me.
Yea I'm exaggerating a bit, but I'm just saying he doesn't really care about bad offense because as long as he's winning 9-11 a year he thinks he's doing well enough. I'm glad you think it's acceptable.

eta, like I said a few posts ago
I'm not saying he doesn't desire to be great, he just doesn't have the intense drive that translates to the actions necessary to make his teams great year in and year out. If he did, he wouldn't accept this offensive output.

if he has to meddle in the assistant coaches status, he might as well fire the guy that's suppose to be in charge of them

I think that the problem is that Stud isn't actually a coordinator as much as he is just a position coach who knows how to run an offense. When he was an OC previously he ran someone else's offense. The offense being run is Miles' offense. They get together before the game and go over what looks they are going to look for and what they want to do in certain situations. Same as any HC and OC do before a game, Miles may override on occasion, but Stud calls 98 % of the plays. This isn't any different from what CSP and PCJr do for the Saints. There's just no creativity with the playbook and Stud gets a D- for playcall, and we're wasting excecution on a subpar offensive staff. If the offensive players could excecute like any top ten team should, we wouldn't be having these problems.

If Stud is fired, we must fire a second coach so that we can hire both an OC and OL coach. Ensminger or Krags will have to go.

The problem is that Miles continues to keep his thumb on the OC's and doesnt let them do their job.

He wouldn't be able to do that to the OC Florida hired. Muschamp lured Boise St.'s OC even though Saban wanted him too.

Miles would have to completely turn over the offense in order to lure a top quality OC, and he knows that. Untill he turns over the offense, we will be stuck in the mud with Miles.

I love Miles, and find the gnashing of teeth after the loss to Clemson sad and funny...

That said, I'd have thought that a new OC was coming at the end of the 2011 season and especially after 1/9/12. When none came, I decided that he saw no issue with the product we put on the field in 2011.

I don't agree, and while I love smash mouth football I think he needs to turn over the offensive duties to a proven OC like he's done with the D and Chavis.

We can still win it all with what we have, but it makes it MUCH more difficult to do so. Why put your team at a disadvantage?

But no...if we didn't see a change after 1/1/12, then I don;t think we see one now unless Stud chooses to leave and he's forced to. even then, unless he brings in someone and gives them control the way he seems to have done with Chavis, I'm not sure it'll matter.

Only if his superiors grow some. He will need to be told to make changes. His performance review should be classified as "Not Meeting Expectations".

We dont need a brent pease. Floridas offense is one of the few offenses worse than lsus. Lsu needs a top flight proven oc ASAP
