I think he will. He needs to pull the trigger and completely turn the offense over to someone else. Just like the defense with Chavis.

He did with Mallveto. Dont see with enough pressure why he wont do the same on offense.

he could hire sean payton and the offense would be as predictible as it has been, do we really need to do the OC shuffle every few years and pretend things might get better?

The problem hasnt been the actual OC's imo. The problem is that Miles continues to keep his thumb on the OC's and doesnt let them do their job.

We've seen the same shite now with Crowton and Stud. These guys dont have control, Miles does - hence the problem.

He gives zero fricks. He doesn't have the insane drive to win championships year in and year out(see story about 2010 auburn game when he talked to the official during the 4th quarter). He thinks winning 10 games is an awesome accomplishment and he's laughing on the way to the bank. In four more years he'll extort LSU for more money. It's a cycle.

No, but even if he does it will be a yes sir, anythign else sir kind of guy. Miles and his ego want total control of everything and if he gets a new OC. it will be the same exact offense that we have had.

so you think the reason the D sucked that year is that Miles meddled with the defense??

the one bright spot for those who think he won't fire stud b/c he is loyal to him is that it's easier to just let stud just coach the OL and bring someone else in as OC.

yeah most coaches succeed in this business by their burning desire to be just good and not great.

How long did it take him to fire Crowton? Becasue 112th in the nation in 2009 was acceptable for another year.

It depends on whether Alleva has the balls to make it a MUST or not.

Alleva better wake up, a horrible season next year could do away with him as well.

(do not mean horrible in terms of Ws and Ls)--just bad play

...we have a new stadium to pay for.\

My bad, I meant crowton and stud. Forget the Malveto part, brain fart.

This is another problem. Les does indeed take every OC's playbook into account. There isn't a "Les Miles playbook". However, he just looks into the playbook and disregards every unique thing they have and keeps the simpleton, archaic plays that he likes to see run in an offense. That's why it looks the same from OC to OC. If you can't see it, then I don't know what to tell you. There have also been multiple people who have said this.

God I hope so. Studs has proven to be ineffective * =understatement. Who then, do we get to fill the spot?

I'm not saying he doesn't desire to be great, he just doesn't have the intense drive that translates to the actions necessary to make his teams great year in and year out. If he did, he wouldn't accept this offensive output.
