They got 2 Alabama guys on there, you wanna tell me they are better than Mathieu? Hope he comes up big in this game.

I hope they piss of TM7 to a point where he just completely goes off the the GUMPS this Saturday. Disrespect is not a pleasant aspect of a honey badger.

I agree but he's a Soph. If he's a man about it. He will eliminate the off field BS, step it up and BE THE MAN next year.
BTW... the thought of PP7, MoClai, & then TM7 winning the Thorpe back-to-back-back would be ridiculous for LSU!

i think that number 17 got on and they wont put 2 typically form same team...17 deserves it more so just on classification...he is a sr.....hb7 is a sophomore....and the fact that he needs to earn his respect back as an off the field person...

Cliff Harris is left off of the list too. It can only be because of the marijuana and speeding violation. Harris and Mathieu are both top-notch defensive backs. However, I will say this...I do believe that Morris Claiborne is a better defensive back/cover corner than Mathieu. With that being said, Mathieu and Harris should still be included in the list.

Yes, he is a human highlight reel and takes advantage of blitz schemes designed to showcase him; however, last night's game showed that he can't even cover a mid level receiver. I counted his getting burned on at least six routes last night.
The Thorpe award should go to the best defensive back in the country, that would be fellow Tiger and Mr. Reliable - Meaux Claiborne.
