They've Only Played One LSU Game on AFN

I'm stationed in Okinawa and AFN has only aired 1 LSU game (that wasn't a replay). This is unacceptable...

I might be going TDY to Texas in October and might be able to take leave in route for the Alabama game.

This thread really has no point other than for me to vent about just finding out about the 4th LSU game in a row not being aired live over here.

If you have broadband connection (with no issues with proxies/filters/firewalls) then why don't you try the online streaming sites?

Try using different software like veetle, tvu, sopcast and streamtorrent or different sites like boxlive, justin.tv, ustream etc...

During the 2007 'ship season....I got to watch almost every game on AFN in Baghdad.

The LSU-UNC game wasn't on AFN?

Give'em time...many big games to come.

The internet on base is horrible so streaming online doesn't work out so well. The only game they've played live is the NC game which I am grateful for; but they're playing a bunch of crappy games instead of the LSU game. This is the only thing that makes me regret being here...

Email them

Have your fellow lsu and sec fan friends email them.

They are really good about airing games if people contact them.

Ask your mwr liason who to contact from afn for requests. I used to have the email, but that was in 2006, and I'm sure it's different now.

well..how's this? In 2007, a bunch of us USNA folks in Iraq emailed their sorry asses for not showing the ND-Navy game LIVE.

The game ended up being the first time in about 43 years that we beat the sorry bastards. (Granted, we've punked them again, since, LMAO.)

But...we had to watch the damn replay...not the same.

AFN hates LSU...or they ignore them. I was stationed in Italy from 1987-1990...never saw one LSU game live during that period.

I'd be willing to bet that, at a minimum, AFN will show the Bama and Arky games.

Probably the UF game, particularly if both UF and LSU win this weekend....and I'm fairly certain LSU will win this weekend.

AFN certainly has no loyalty to LSU...but, when LSU is good and highly ranked...they get shown.

Same as it is for any team...
