We scored 30 plus points a game on offense(minus 8-9 Touchdowns on Defense or Special Teams), so no new Offensive Coordinator is needed. Our defense had 0 Three and Outs. This means no good position for a punt return. One penalty and 0 turnovers(against Bama) did not help as we never could get good field position. These are things that we rely on. Yes Jefferson sucked and the game plan sucked. I also think that Les thought that no matter what happened we would score eventually as we have done the past 2 games. When it got to 9 to 0 he seemed to start to panic. We lost this game when Mettenberger did not become the starting QB. Obviously he is better than the other 2. Hell he beat out Murray at Ga. enough said. I think Nick wanted Jefferson to stay in the game. You did not see any hard hits on JJ. Nick thought opposite of everyone else. Leave JJ in and we win. Alabama won and we lost. They deserved it and we did not. Congrats to Bama. Congrats to the Tigers. Great Year and Thanks for the memories.

It was a great year indeed, the future looks bright for this program. I'm very excited for next year.

Agree. They won we lost - time to move on to what looks to be another great season in 2012. We have become (me) way too expecting I guess. I had a friend (Iowa fan) say to me - look at it this way - there are about 118 other teams that wish they felt as bad as you today.

Another great season - we simply didn't have the right game plan in place...you simply can't win em all and LSU has been very fortunate over the years to win most of the big games - we just came up short this time.

Saying they won and we lost is a gross oversimplification.

Our program was exposed on a lot of different levels: QB, HB7's coverage, coaching, lack of ingame adjustments. Hopefully the QB situation will be better in 2012, but you can't deny there are other ongoing issues that may or may not be corrected in the upcoming season.

so no new Offensive Coordinator is needed.

I don't know whether we need a new OC. I certainly don't think so just from one game..BUT, our offensive was pretty impotent in the first game against Bama and the first half against Georgia.

I think it is as simple as needed a quarterback that can lead the team, make reads, and complete passes.

We exposed the shite out of bad defenses, they couldnt hang with our big O-Line, our depth at RB, or speed at receiver. But when out O-line doesn't dominate, and the receivers aren't open by 5 yards, our QB is completed baffled.

There is one bright spot, no matter how much Miles wants to play JJ, no matter what, he will have to go pro to play him now. After 3+ years of JJ, Mett is going to look like Peyton Manning

I agree with last assessment. A new QB that is equipped to be an SEC QB can handle that. Drew Brees was an unfair comparison to anyone would have stopped us. Drew is smart enough to figure it out and that came with experience. Wish Z Mett would have gotten the chance. Can you imagine, if he is as good as they say, how good he would be next season.
