Well, they are the better team, and favored.

Just curious, how exactly do you really know that? Was it the loss against Ole Miss? or was it the 1 point lucky win against Arkansas that led you to believe this. They looked good against Texas A&M at home, no doubt, but then ULM almost beat Texas A&M this past weekend. They have looked bad on the road most definitely against Ole Miss and Arkansas....and let Tenn almost crawl back in the game. Their best win I guess is against 3 loss WV.......maybe they do beat us...but from what I've seen from LSU recently, they are peaking and are at home....I wouldn't be surprised at all if LSU puts it together and whips that azz.

I think it's a close game at the half. 13-10 neighborhood. Kiffin gets cute in the third quarter and we derp around for a little while ala 2012 sec championship. Saban goes ham on Lane after a negative play and says run the damn ball. 20-10 bama, then 20-13 bama midway through the 4th, then a late touchdown makes the game appear not as close as it was. 27-13 is my honest prediction. I know that won't be a popular prediction, but that's my pick. As I said, it's a one score game midway through the 4th IMO that has the feel of another classic. I like the way our defense matches up in this game.

not looked good on the road this year

I know this is the consensus, and it's understandable since we played at the same time last weekend (I had 2 TV's in the den) but the offense raced out to a 4 touchdown lead on Tennessee last weekend. To that point, statistically speaking, tennessee had been playing solid defense. Say what you will about Neyland but 107,000 people can make a lot of noise. It was a hornets nest. Do I expect TS to be louder? Yes I do, but that was about as good of trial run as we could have asked for playing in Neyland. Alabama has played with an entirely different demeanor starting with the A&M game. They aren't robots anymore, the kids are having fun, much like I'm used to seeing Lsu teams do. They're celebrating big plays, getting hyped up and playing with energy and emotion. Surprisingly, Saban is the one that encouraged it. He used the analogy "let the horse run." There was a big hit in the Texas A&m game and 20 guys ran off the sideline to celebrate, the official told Saban that if it happens again they're getting flagged. Saban said "I don't give a damn"

I expect a tight ball game, but Alabama, much like Lsu, is a completely different team today than they were in week 4. The team that played tight in Oxford is gone pecan.

We'll see. You're confident in your team and I'm confident in mine. We are fans, after all. I just don't think Lsu matches up well with our defense, this is the largest and deepest front 7 Saban has had at Alabama. There isn't a Mcclain or Mosley but there is more depth on the line than we've ever had, and they're all huge human beings. I could end up being dead wrong, that's why they play the game and that's why its called a prediction.

You are sensible like most of my Alabama fan/pals are. May the better team win Saturday night. It's games like this that make America so damn fun!

Saban aint lettin Kiffin/Sims throw shite. Underneath quick stuff and the eventual deep ball to keep the safeties honest, maybe, but ultimately it will be a line of scrimmage game.

Who wants it more?

Tigers are hungrier. We'll see.

based upon a win over a Texas A&M team that almost lost to ULM, and then a win over Tenn, where they let Tenn back into the game. LOL....You have beaten absolutely no one this year, and looked bad at times. Your toughest part of your schedule is coming up. You sound like Ole Miss after they beat you guys and had played no one else.......that didn't work out so well for them. Bama is not that good this year, and simms is going to pull a bo Wallace in this game....he has seen nothing like he will see Saturday night, and LSU has a great secondary. I doubt Saban lets him throw much....but I honestly could see LSU winning this thing convincingly. After the game you guys will be saying "I guess we put too much stock in beating A&M by 59).

Solid assessment,

I think it's close for a while.

We gotta contain Coop. If ya'll start running on us it opens him up and that can't happen.

I know our series is strange in that the road team wins most of the time, but It's gonna be wild as frick in there and will be a crazy environment for Sims' first time playing in the ole girl. Hopefully that gives us an edge and he gets rattled.

Should be another classic in the series.

I am not allowed to argue here, so this is the only board (sans the bama and uga boards) where I can legitimately discuss football, which is why I signed up years ago in the first place. When I don't have the option to argue it's easy to ignore posts that would otherwise incite a reaction from me on the sec rant. It's refreshing honestly. I like to talk about the matchups and the games within the game and all that. I like to share my legitimate opinion and hear the legitimate opinion of others. Can't do that on the SECr. 90% of the posts have the sole purpose of garnering a negative response from a rival. I'm just as guilty as everyone else, but it's not what I prefer. I'd rather just talk football. It's why I think the team boards were a great idea.

I never said we didn't have a chance to lose the game. It's sec football, of course we have a chance to lose the game.

you predicted a 2 touchdown win in our house against a team that has given up a combined 10 points in the last 2 SEC games. You are also going on the road. When was the last time Alabama blew out LSU in Baton Rouge?

Off the top of my head it was 2001 or 2002. Fran over Saban.

I also said I think it's a one possession game midway through the 4th, yea 27-13 is my official prediction, but I think 7 of those are "garbage time" so to speak. It's just fun to try to peg exactly how it plays out, no need to get offended by it. MSU and Auburn both have mobile quarterbacks, a really good WR or two, and a really good RB or two. That's what we bring to the table as well. I don't think my prediction was in the realm of impossibility based on what I've seen so far.

I wish more teams fans would come over here during game week for discussion.

You can't discuss shite on the secrant, it's a constant clown show.

We could actually discuss the game over here if more people came over to discuss without it being a shite show on the secrant.
