Thought I was the only one who noticed that. But it is so funny how they just refuse to give us credit. I thought Rod would be better than Robert "pussyass big 10" Smith would be, but he wasn't. Him and Herbie both had us at 6th, when they knew damn well we were still gonna be #5. Guess they figure if they keep it up they may have some influence somewhere and get us voted down.

Goodness, they are paid to give their opinions. If you went on the air saying LSU deserved to be #3, think everyone would agree?

Then how can they talk about a 1-loss having a shot if they won't mention the highest ranked 1-loss team?

I don't think we have a chance to jump TCU, but b/c Herbie and the boys blow boise so hard, there isn't much time left to talk about anyone else.
I still think we jump boise if we win out; even the polls won't help their anchor computer score.

If Oregon/TCU loses one and Auburn drops the SECCG, LSU is in.

Nightmare scenario as far as the media is concerned

I suppose the "if you can't win your own division argument" is even stronger than the "not being able to win your own conference" argument.

I'm more impressed with the SEC west champion than the BCS process.

neither do the other one loss teams that they did say have a chance. How can you say that Wisconsin or Stanford have a chance without mentioning LSU?

LSU isn't going to get any love because of the Tennessee game. In their minds, LSU should have lost this game and that's enough to dismiss them.

IF we dominate the next 2 games and AU drops to Al and SoCar, we should play Oregon.
Humans will rank us out of the Top 10 to frick us though.
not if oregon loses. Then they almost have no choice. Add to that that we lost by a touchdown to the number one team in the nation.

Probably because at this point and time we don't deserve it. Our team lost and has eked out the other wins even against severely overmatched opponents.

Our coaching staff played scared on the offensive side of the ball in 1.5 of our biggest games and we lost because of it. That's the perception and also the reality.

You do have a point, but are you seriously going to let the "Style points" earned by Boise, TCU and Oregon for that matter count?

They all have a SOS BELOW 50, and Oregon is tied with ULM for SoS. As soon as any of these guys play a decent opponent, they also have to "Eke" out a win. Big bad Cal, Deadly VaTech. I mean come on.

Again, unless they lose, LSU has no case.

Our offense in our biggest game against Auburn was called horribly and we lost because of it. Our offense has looked bad for the entire season outside of maybe 5 randomly dispersed quarters.

Style points or not, LSU has no business passing an undefeated team, BCS or not.

Crazier stuff happened in 07. I wouldn't be surprised. We were #7 after losing to Arky. I think we need 3 out of 4 teams ahead of us to lose and Wisconsin for good measure.

I for one would be happy to win out and win a BCS bowl. Never thought that was a possibility in August and knew for damned sure it wouldn't happen in October.

If the only qualifications for where you are ranked is being undefeated and looking "good" doing it, then all of the undefeated FCS schools should be up there too!

If we played ULM quality opponents every week, maybe we would have style points too.

Anybody else in the country play 7 teams that were ranked in the Top 25?

To be fair, thats kind of skewed.

UNC isn't ranked
WVU isn't ranked
MsSt wasn't ranked when we played them
FL isn't ranked

So we've played 2 teams that were ranked when we played them and are still ranked.

but yes we have played 7 teams that were at some point ranked in the top 25

Flip me off all you want, but LSU doesn't deserve to go over TCU or BSU if they are both undefeated. It's that simple.

We won't win our division or conference. That alone should keep us out.
