No incumbent starter. No favoritism. We have way too many pieces lined up across the board for us not to make a playoff run because of incompetent QB play. All we need is someone who can get the ball into the hands of our playmakers. I don't care if he's black, white, 7ft tall or 5ft tall, or if he can throw the ball through a damn brick wall or barely get it to the brick wall. If he throw an accurate ball and get it there on time, start him! If we can't find that out of Harris, Etling, Jennings, or McMillan, Miles really needs to go after 2016. There's zero reason for us not to have at least one serviceable QB on roster.

Harris will be our starter. He has the most experience and is the best QB we have. He is our absolute best chance at a championship next year. Get over it

And have yet another first time starting QB? I'm good. Harris played well enough to earn an incumbent role on this team.

While I agree that there should be competition, Harris needs to be the starter unless one of the other ones comes in on fire.

Remember he split reps last spring with Jennings. I'd like to see him get all first string reps in order to better prepare him for fall.

Harris is a TRUE SOPHMORE coming off what should have been a 10 win year........with the worst Defense in the Miles era to compliment the O. He obviously showed great improvement since the 2014 Auburn debacle.

Quit bitching, he's your starter for the next 2 years and he will do just fine

Harris played well enough to keep his job. If he improves this off season as much as he did last off season he may very well be a good QB.

That being said I saw Etling practice a few times and I was actually pretty impressed.

Yea give Harris the keys and say take this beautiful Ferrari we have here for a long ride. Because if you give him the keys his confidence will be sky high. He just needs to get in that playbook, work on his accuracy more and learn to run the read option better. He will be alright.

Is this why you think Harris was the starter?

I agree that Miles will absolutely go with Harris as the guy. Let's hope for a HUGE improvement.

So.... just to make sure that everyone is on the same page here, Les MIles wasted a year of Harris's development by not giving him snaps late in the 2014 seasons, and now that he's firmly entrenched as the starter, you want to give his snaps to someone else?

I agree even tho everyone here think its more about the play calling than qb play. The calls were there and he couldn't make the throws. We are in a age in college football were being a true sophmore is not an acceptable excuse anymore, like it or not. Let it be a compitition. I mean for God sakes you have the best offensive weapon since bo Jackson, just complete 15 -20 intermediate passes a game and stop throwing hailmarys and you win it all. BOOM !!!!!

False, Harris wins it easily and we need a seasoned vet to lead us this year in particular. McMillan should be the backup.

So you can tell the future? You realize we have the best player in college football still on our team right? And we will have the most experienced deepest defense in the nation with an exciting young D Coach who is all world right?

Bama won it all with a Heisman RB and a dominant defense this year. They didnt have much else. Their QB wasnt even that good, he was just efficient
