It just seems we don’t play as a team.when Lith get in trouble no one helps her. Something just looks out of sync

Van Lith is getting better. She needs to learn when they give her that space let it rip

I really wish we could take Poa’s strengths and Van Lithes strengths and make one player out of them.

Poa is not good. If Van Lith passes it she rarely gets it back.

I think Poa is very good as a role player. Good ball handler, passer, and very good on defense. She’s just not a scorer.

The Advocate had a photo of Van Lith's father working with her in an apparent private practice session. There are videos out there showing their sessions when she was in high school & some were brutal.

The Van Lith we needed was Rogers.
I wanted her to be a Tiger when she entered the portal from Oregon.

So much this and it really stood out at the game tonight. Players were forcing some very bad shots and she was set, waving her hands but not even getting a nod.

Outstanding passing strength, developing vision, powerful step lateral attack.

I was getting sick of watching players just blow by her on defense. She has a slow reaction time. But I do think she has improved as the season’s gone on.

Van lith has to take the shots when she can create them. Watching the game tonight she doesn't get very many passes from teammates to get a shot off. She is very pesky on defense and getting better as the season goes on. She does give a 100 percent on the floor on both sides of the court.

This team scored 87 points on the top defensive team in the country and won by 17 and you would think they got blown out by the comments on this board.

This particular thread is specifically speaking about van lith. My comment was made because I think she is getting into a rhythm finally and her shots are falling when she takes them. Reece, Williams, Morrow, Johnson definitely take alot more shots then Van Lith. Van Lith when she squares up and lets it go she can be deadly that's all i was saying.

Several LSU players looked slow last night! Defense or effort was lacking at times.

HVL is not a true point guard. She was not "recruited" to be a point guard . She is a prolific scorer who was an All American and has given up that role to help the team as a point guard. She is very unselfish in doing so. She knows that this team needs point guard play to be successful in winning another championship. Velez will improve over the next few seasons, she is just not ready yet for the SEC at this point. We have all the scoring power we need .Having her at point gives us the opportunity to have her and MW on the floor at the same time. this is what poses the problem for the other team, everyone on the floor can score the ball.. Poa is a vital part of this team and hustles and plays D all the time. Wake up and enjoy the ride! With the exception of uSCE every other school would love to have these athletes on their team !!

Playing on offense against a defense as tough as A&M drains your energy.
The team seemed fatigued on D and they all seemed a bit slow, but they also played a very tough road game vs. Ole Miss prior where the starters almost never came out of the game.
Win by 17 over this club is a huge victory.
