Calling BS on this. He'll be back in jail in no time.

Very nice article. Props to Mathieu for taking advantage of his second chance and straightening out his off the field behavior.

I'm still trying to figure out what he was doing that needed "straightening out". He sure wasnt bothering anyone. And if he wasnt bothering anyone, then it's not anyone's business.

Repeated violations of team rules and repeatedly breaking the law ending in a subsequent arrest were issues that easily could have kept him from a career in the NFL. If the same behavior were to continue he would not be a professional football player for long.

So the moral of this story is if you know a kid like this reach out to him and try to help him.
TM didn't need help in this way.
He failed 10+ drug tests while playing at an all-time level.
America needs help in rethinking its laws.

Best football player ive seen at LSU. Might not of been the best CB, or the best DB. But was the best pure football player ive ever seen. He made plays i didnt even know you could make in football
That right there what he said.
I've said this before, but I was in the camp of "TM is over-hyped, the beneficiary of lucky bounces, right place, right time, blah blah blah".
And it happened again. And again. And again. And finally, I looked up, with a really stupid look on my face, and said "OOOOHHHHH, THAT'S what coaches mean when they say a kid has ball skills. Skills you can't coach/teach."
I've never seen a player quite like him before. How in the WORLD that guy slipped under the recruiting radar is beyond me.

The first Highlight I saw of him as an Arizona Cardinal was when the opposing player was coasting into the end zone for what looked like a for sure TD. TM dove from behind, slapped the ball out of his hands just before he went in, and ended up getting a touch back I believe. The kid just keeps making those kinds of plays over and over and over. I literally can't think of another player that got that many of those types of plays in such a short period of time throughout a few years of College and a rookie year in the NFL.

This. I seriously thought he was all hype, and the benefactor of a couple of lucky bounces. Until it happened again. And again. And again.
I remember in the Kentucky game he had that strip scoop and score. All I could say was HE DID IT AGAIN!!! That's when I paid a little closer attention because he would be a once in every 20 year player.
