Imagine if SW waits to fire Wade until after the Tourney & LSU makes a run - The personal Text Msgs & Banking Acct stuff in the NOA would definitely come out b4 the end of the NCAA Tourney - Im guessing Woodward couldn’t risk it.
LSU would have looked pretty bad considering how absolutely ignorant & careless it appears ole Willy handled his “Strong arse Offers”!

What are you talking about. The NOA was given to LSU by the NCAA. We didn’t choose that timing. The press submit a freedom of information request and there is a deadline to release.

LSU didn’t admit anything and has months to respond to the NOA. Then fires the coach. And that’s good PR? Or anything productive?
It’s a weird timing. LSU isn’t getting points for firing Wade today. I hope that’s not what people think.

It’s not going to be discussed more. If Wade was still the coach can you imagine. Might be equal in level of discussion but certainly not more.

Knowing the info that’s out there how could they let him coach the tournament? We’d be ostracized and ridiculed... and knowing that he’s probably guilty would you be will8ng to risk your career on Will Wade?

I agree. It's a travesty, and it's apparent that we are not playing on a level playing field with the "blue bloods." I like Will, and defended him, but this cloud over the program is apparently not going away, no matter how unfair it is. And his win-loss record, which has been solid, but not stellar, is not worth it.

The NOA was going to be public due to freedom of information law. I’m not sure how to say it differently. The details would be public and Wade would still be coach. That would be the circus of all circuses.

I guaran damn tee you that the $400k (and I thought it was $900k) did not come from Coach K's account, or his wife's account, or his friend's account. WW made it much to easy to trace his payments.

The last 3 basketball coaches have been Trent Johnson, Johnny Jones, and Will Wade - spanning about 13 years. The last two football coaches have been Les Miles and Ed Orgeron - spanning 17 years. Our last athletic director was Joe Alleva, who was at the helm for 11 years. You can't undo over a decade of bad hires, bad buyouts, and bad contract restructuring in a couple of years. LSU is going to pay for terrible hiring decisions, but the university will be better off for it.
