When they let go of Trent Johnson, it was said he was a bad fit and JJ was a good fit. At least that's what the Dale Brown cabal pushed.
Now Joe is reacting to that, he isn't going to be pushed into a good fit this time, he's going for a "proven winner" like guess who, Trent Johnson.
Basically Alleva is just telling us what we want to hear. This is his third Men's hoop hire, and he has a poor track record. What else can he say?

I'm on board with the O hire. But as soon as I heard him say this in today's presser, my stomach turned. Regardless of wat happens with Coach O, I have very little confidence that Alleva is the right "fit" for the AD job.
I think we could make a pretty good case for his dismissal on grounds of negligence. (Just put together a master list of JA mistakes, incompetence and dysfunction) Wouldn't be a difficult task at all.........................

1. We were, by months, the 1st program to fire their HC.
2. If our 3rd choice was a coach that had never been a successful coordinator or head coach then Alleva should be fired just for that.
