It wasn't the fact that Poche started. The team wasnt ready to play mentally and that's on the coach. Hale choked, Poche choked and Mainieri choked when he kept Poche in 3 batters too long. End of story.

I can't believe LSU lost. LSU is never supposed to lose a game ever. Everyone needs to be fired for this. We the fans do not deserve just making it to Omaha. That is just so easy nowadays. We the fans deserve nothing but championships because we are breathing.

It's not so much that they lost,it's the manner in which they did so.

Losing in the fricking Regional last year cost this current team alot of experience it could have needed last night.

This hurts. Even though a lot of the players made it to the CWS in 2013 back to back to back experience this season would be extremely beneficial. 2014 makes it to Omaha if they hold off Houston. LSU would have taken Texas to pound town in the Supers.

Poche had his problems and pulling him sooner may have made a difference but the hitting has got to come back. The team has been struggling since the SEC tournament. Tuesday's game will show what the team is made of. They haven't lost back to back games all season.
It's nothing to lose tomorrow. Leave it all out on the field.

You are right hopefully we turn it around tomorrow. I also hope this isn't a trend with CPM but we have a tendency to choke in the post season.

yes, I agree. poche's first throw to first was a lob throw. first basemen hate lob throws. ditto the next batter. he then became unraveled.

the team was tight and when things go wrong a tight team doesn't handle it well.

to blame Mainieri for their chocking is not fair; maybe he put too much pressure on them but it is just as likely they put that pressure on themselves.

poche' had battled back from jams all year long and he just didn't this time. and yes, i'm sure Mainieri would agree he left his most experienced pitcher in too long.

Pretty much. The first three errors were all easy plays and hitting continued the recent trend. I still have hope

Great excuse!

If only we had been ready to play mentally. Where do you guys come up this bullshite? It's the fricking CWS!

Execution by the players did us in and not some lame bullshite about the team wasn't coached up to be mentally ready to play.

We got behind 10-1, dude. You really want to lay that on Poche staying in three batters too long.
