Of course it is and it started at the top the LSU president. Why fire Miles and pay him $9 million just hire someone with the same traits and a failed resume as a head coach.

If someone is not performing their job up to standard then they should be fired. Not a very difficult aspect to comprehend. And if the new people cant get the job done then yes you don't settle for mediocrity. You keep looking until you find someone that Can get the job done!

The perfect season for most LSU fans is undefeated national championship with their backup QB and at the end of the season they fire the head coach.

We've fired Miles and Cam. We now want to fire our AD and University President. Many are not happy with Orgeron. When a fanbase wants the majority of leaders fired we have a problem. And if the new hires don't win big fans will want them fired also.

Is our program officially trending down?

I would say Yes. Every area you can point to in on the down trend. Recruiting as in the shine of LSU have worn off. The media favor lsu once had. Momentum. Miles stayed a little to long and LSU has suffered from his stubbornness in the last 4 years. O may work out (I don't think so) but that's not what LSU needed right now. Needed a coach that when hired, no questions. With O: can we keep Amanda?, Who is the OC?, Recruiting?, etc.

Bare Minimum I hope O can recruit his pants off but it's different as HC. Right now I'm not seeing anything positive in recruiting. LSU will lose around 45 players between today and January 2018.

Will Coach Orgeron beat Bama 3 out of the next 5 years? If not him then who? Do fire the head coach right after the Bama game if they lose?

YES....ever since LSU hired Alleva. Do you have any doubts about that? The "downward spiral" has accelerated since F. KIng was hired. Do you have any doubts about that? Are you trying to blame the current state of the LSU athletic department on the fans? We are only reflecting the frustration felt by most about the FACT that the LSU athletic department is in a tailspin. Do you have any doubts about that? BTW....VERY FEW people on here hate coach O.

We just hired a guy to be our head coach who was completely out of coaching two years ago to try and 'keep on keeping on' Miles' people. WTF? When has that ever worked????

Where have our problems been? Give you a hint...offense and special teams. Those coaches are gone.

Maybe you want to get rid of Aranda too. After all, he is a Miles guy.

It shouldn't be about bama. If LSU goes 11-1 they can get in playoff. Should be about LSU as a program alone. Said that, Alleva is not the leader this university needs. Other coaches will be hesitant because of him. He has gotten played by Miles with ark Deal, slap by sec with everything like thanksgiving night-cross divisions-Florida debacle etc, Nov 2015, Then he is emotional in negotiations in a negative way. Pres F King, well we all know this. Leadership is weak!

And LSU would still have to beat Bama. I would like to beat then once and hopefully someone else gets lucky and gives them a 2nd loss so we don't have to pay them again.

This whole coaching change fiasco started last November and is still going on. Just embarrassing.

cajun12, I agree. I know many many LSU fans who are in favor of giving Coach O a chance. A son out of state says the same thing & he's into the social media thing. This site is a breeding ground for haters. Check out the Poli board if you want to see their clones on that site.

Why are you so completely obsessed with Bama. Yes beating Bama is important, but I in no way insinuated that was the criteria for firing people. I'm not going to sit here and type a novel for you explaining reasoning that you should already know. If you believe that Aleeva, Johnny Jones, Nikki Caldwell, F King Alexander, etc ... has done a good job then more power to you . And if you are arguing for Les Miles then we have absolutely nothing else to talk about. His arse should have been fired !

These are questions. firing coaches is not always the best solution. Coach O is very likable by everyone which is why he has the job. Coach O has stated several times he plans to have the very best DC and OC in college football. Fortunately we have the best DC and the best OC's are still playing football. It's obvious we don't have the best head football coach in college football which is why we need the best OC and DC.
