That slide by Freeman was a thing of beauty, and the camera guy at ground level behind home plate was money.

I'm pretty sure we'll get to see that quite a bit for as long as LSU stays in this tournament.

I'm not sure what the opinion is on the board, but in the group watching the game last night, we couldn't believe he went home there. Thank the Lord he was safe, but that's a crazy risk at 3rd with 1 out.

Pretty obvious that the running pressure screwed with FSU that entire play though.

It was a good block on the lead hand by their catcher , and would have been an out if the catcher would have caught the ball. Freeman's speed was in their head, and caused them to rush their throws and actually catches , and that's where speed kills sometimes, in the mind...

This. Throw beat him by a mile. But it was the same dude that fumbled the ball when Dup scored on a wild pitch from first, so...
FSU's three errors were the difference last night. Loved the win, but the Tigers have to be better!

I kinda felt the same way - high risk, high reward! But like you, I think the speed of things at the time really messed with em! I was dancin'!!!

Well, as soon as he was in there and safe I was ok with it, but I sure didn't like the decision before.

Freeman's slide looks better than Pete Rose's slide statue.

He was toast at home. That whole play was weird, and we seemed to make mistakes on it but they were overshawdowed by their bigger mistakes.

On the hit I thought freeman was going to be standing on third. He had pulled up at second though and didn't advance until the RF missed it. Then we all saw the play at the plate. Glad it all worked out though. If you are going to be an aggressive team on the bases, then you take chances. Sometimes they pay off, sometimes they dont.

Yeah, don't take my word for it:

“I thought that our team didn't really play that great, at least not up to our potential,” said LSU coach Paul Mainieri. “And yet somehow we still found a way to win, which is really encouraging for us. I think our team will play much better Monday night now that they have one under their belt. They're used to the surroundings, and they're not going to be uptight at all. They're going to go out there let it rip on Monday night. And I think you'll see a team play a lot better.”

Lady Luck was on our side. I take "luck" over "good" any day.

Same here

As they say, I'd rather be lucky than good. It takes some luck to make a deep run in Omaha, after all.

Big time players make big time plays in big time games.

But seriously, Freemans speed is the reason we won that game.

I immediately thought of Pete when Freeman slid in head first.
