This is really an important point. With Beckham being everywhere, and Tyrann and PP being so high profile, Jeremy Hill doing well, etc...then you've got Fournette 24/7 on ESPN being talked about as the next Hershel Walker...

SECW, national title contender, super high profile, national TV, always talked about as being an interesting place to play, pumping players into the NFL at a Miami rate from years ago and ALL OF THEM rep LSU once they're there...

Folks, LSU is nationally cool.

I know it's tough for many here to do, but it's time we start enjoying this.

When you travel out of state, you'll see LSU fans everywhere you go. It's awesome.

Agree. I have lived in Florida, Arizona, and Colorado. I always see LSU fans everywhere. I just recently moved and my new neighbors are LSU fans. The best part is non-LSU and non-SEC fans generally like and respect LSU's team. I think LSU is a top 5 brand nationwide.

From my experiences, I've found that we are respected in a lot of places around the country. Last year in Annapolis, I was wearing my LSU pullover and had several people say "good team" or "Geaux Tigers." Also, last week, while going through Dulles, I over heard a TSA agent ribbing a guy about his Fla. State shirt, then he says "I like them better than the overrated SEC." I said hey com'on man, then said "well every SEC team but LSU!" I wasn't even donning any LSU gear, so he didn't know I was a tiger fan.

Don't underestimate the effect Miles has on all of this. His lovable quirkiness has become a brand nationally, and love him or hate him LSU is much better off for it. Miles is a national celebrity. Ask anyone nationally who is only a marginal football fan to name 5 college coaches and Miles will invariably be on that list. Good press for LSU.

I can attest to this:
