We lose to Alabama every year. That's the bottom line. Can fans be happy with a year when we win a decent amount of games, if we lose to Bama and Saban. I think we should be.

The reason we lose to Bama is because the run heavy offense that works against the majority of the teams, is unable to sustain against Alabama (as they play that style and they have comparable if not better talent). Schematically Saban is better than Miles plain and simple.

But that doesn't detract from the fact that Miles is able to recruit extremely well and sustain a program that is able to dominate (year and year out) the majority of the programs we face.

Should we be satisfied that we cant beat Alabama? No. Should that cause us to fire the 2nd best coach we've ever had? (2nd to Saban?) No.

At this point, we lose to Arkansas every year as well.

A part of the reason, but not the only reason. Its HOW we lost to Alabama all of those years. We are literally the ONLY SEC West opponent to never score 20 points against Alabama in the last 5 years.

There's also the Arkansas thing.

The fact that we don't game plan to opponent weakness. Every team that ran qb read and passed killed Alabama this year. We just have Same game plan. Lack of preparation

But the Alabama situation is not the only reason people want to fire Miles. Not at all. So you're wrong in saying thats the reason. There are tons of reasons. There are people who actually look at his entire body of work.

OK that's fine.

Still doesn't take away from the fact that Arkansas has dominated LSU as of late. We've barely been competitive in those games.

If Jennings didn't throw that wild pass against Arky we would be 0-3 against them

And the fact we have a 20th century offense.

An Arkansas team that LSU out talents by a wide margin has blown out LSU in consecutive years.

You realize that we lost in OT to them last year and lost on the last possession in 2012?

You are acting like we didn't have a prayer in any game.

Reading your posts today, you either have no perspective of college football outside of lsu or you don't even watch the games.

That's part of it but there is more to it than that

The way we play, with trying to run between the tackles and not taking risks offensively is detrimental against Alabama.

They have the talent and the scheme to shut our game plan down. But that same game plan beats Florida, Texas AM, Oregon and other top 15 programs. Where there is feast against other teams, is our downfall against Alabama.

Please continue trying to discredit your supposed favorite teams wins

And "wild pass". It was a pass to an open receiver down field. Nothing "wild" about it.

I agree that we gameplan for the season. but that's also how we recruit. The same Ole Miss team that beat Bama, with trick plays and a wide open offense isn't even in the top 25.

You can;t go from an iform team to a spread offense in a week.

LSU lost 3 games the prior year. 1 was to Bama.

Yes, LSU has lost to Bama 5 times in a row. It means we're not elite. But LSU has also lost to Arkansas 2x, Auburn, Mississippi State, Ole Piss, Georgia, all in the last 2.5 seasons. LSU's SEC record is 13-9 since 2012.
