The process and speculation should have been AFTER the season

The kind of at times vile discussions about the LSU program and Miles's tenure should have been tabled until after the season. There is NO way this discussion and polarization has helped LSU in it's preparation for games. The distractions aren't necessary.
I am not a Miles fan. I think the way he handled Jarrett Lee and his 9 - 0 LSU team to the point he personally killed the season, were horrible. That he wouldn't change at halftime and give Lee a chance was the worst example of stubborn "sticking with my guy no matter if I lose the NC" coaching every witnessed.
That said, the program is not better off the last 2 weeks and even the fan base that loathes him, could have waited to the end of the season.

3 straight double digit losses after a 5 loss season tend to bring on speculation

SO there wasn't a fair amount of unnecessary speculation these past two weeks?

it's best to get the negativity of getting rid of miles as far away from national signing day as possible... that way you can target replacements for guys who de-commit or rope them back into committing... plus it lets potential coaching candidates know that you will be hiring.

That's great and all, but what do you expect out of a fanbase and how would you stop people from speculating?

Racking up the post count.

Oh it was needed. Les needs to go

I think the first quarter of the Ole Miss game sent people over the edge, if they weren't already there.

I feel bad for les and the implosion of his season, but he's done this to himself. Nobody to blame but ol les. Shitty offenses, bad QB play, comically horrible clock management, and absolute refusal to adjust.

If there's no speculation, then what will everyone do for the next 24 hours?
TD is enjoying the traffic and the comedy.

You can't control speculation.
Name a college that successfully implemented the model process for replacing an under-achieving coach that was under contract and did not retire/resign.
