standing all alone in a well officiated game...

I told MrMomma during our very first series, when JJ made a first down, and was pushed back at least a full yard and got the short spot that the real game would be in how much these officials would be willing to do to give BAMA some discretion... they repeatedly did NOT see things that alabama did and we were called for. I don't expect perfection, but some sort of equity isn't too much to ask for.

focusing on the PP interception may sound like the UGA puppies whining about the celebration penalty.. but my gripe is the total lack of balance in this game!!

I was pissed at CBS in the first quarter for not stating what everybody clearly saw: that Jefferson made the first down but got screwed.

Like the face mask scak maybe, the total lack of holding calls even thought even Danielson was pointing them out all the time. It is the no calls. That is how the taint the game.

Amen Momma! Agree completely!

The PP play gets the media attention because it was an obvious incorrect call at a big moment at the end of the game, but all these articles are missing the real problem in this game by focusing on that one play; the complete influence of the refs throughout the game to steer the game to Gump favor.

I noticed that too. He's usually pretty quiet about officiating. But he had to repeatedly question some calls (or non-calls).

You and me both, brother. Jefferson was a yard past the 1st down line and got knocked back during the tackle and the spot was horrible. I just thought, "Oh boy, here we go again."

PP got control of the ball and then two feet inbounds. I am pretty sure that qualifies as a catch anywhere except for the replay officials at an Alabama game.

Truth is when watching the replay over and over and it was obvious he got both feet in I announced to everyone in the room. "Yep since it is obvious he got BOTH feet it in it will be Alabama ball."

I was right. New the cheating refs would screw LSU at some point during the game and I figured that was their golden opportunity.

I am not going to whine and bitch like a GA fan we still may have lost because JJ was hurt and PP had cramps. That is why LSU lost.

I don't think you sound like UGA ! I mean they get to keep the 6 on there call and we don't get a chance the PP interception.

I did the same thing yesterday in the game thread.

I said 'since it is obvious, it is going to be an ugly call'

I left the internetz as soon as the no-reversal was announced.

- but I sneakted back on purty soon.

couldn't agree more LSUmomma, one thing i was JJ would have done would have been stretching his arm out; he looked like he didn't know where he was and that could have influence the spot. however your premise about the inequity is spot on. we got hosed, intentional (which i don't believe) or not.

Instead of complaining about the refs like a bunch of babies, why don't you talk about LSU lining up wrong and cancelling out a huge gain and first down. Also the running into the kicker that gave them the chance to go for the first down. Those plays are what hurt us.

EVERY TEAM has some of "those plays" in a game...

even BAMA screwed themselves on 3rd and goal. And contrary to what some posters on here believe, all of Sab-asses antics with the headset didn't make that not happen, either.

I am talking about the effect that officials can and do have on a game-- aside from what the actual players do.

Agreed I am not a georgia fan... or a georgia crybaby coach. offsides and illegal motion penalties killed LSU as much as anything else.
