The PMAC is a pretty neat sight when it’s full

I just wish they move the students back to where they always been. I hate having the students behind the goal.

We just need butts in the seats and that alone will make the PMAC great again.

The A&M game isn’t going to be full but the Vandy game should be packed on a Saturday. It’s pretty much sold out.

Hopefully LSU whips them by 20 and it’s a big postseason send off party.

Great to see the Honkeys down in front actually act like they were at a sporting event and not Shakespeare’s Oedipus REX. Maybe more 11 am tips??

Aesthetically, I actually don't mind the seating section of the PMAC. I just wish it was more comfortable, I hate to say it but I'm 6'1 and the seating is one reason I don't go to more games, and I know I'm not the only one. Discomfort is one thing, but when you're legs actually start hurting because your legs are jammed into the seat in front of you for 3 hours, that's a whole other discussion. It's the complete opposite for baseball, the Box is incredibly comfortable (aside from the god awful bench seats) and I'm more than willing to put my money into LSU athletics and attend every game I'm able to.

Then if they do play in the Parker center you won’t go?

the arena rocked in the late 70s and 80s. The arena isn’t the problem. Put a winning, exciting product on the floor and the place will rock again.

That's kind of my point. If that game were to ever happen, of course I would go. A game like yesterday, I'll deal with the discomfort. But a Tuesday or Wednesday night game against some shitty out of conference opponent, or shitty SEC team, I'm watching that from the comfort of my own couch.

I absolutely guarantee you that none of those "Honkeys" has ever been to a performance of Shakespeare's Oedipus Rex. Not a single one.

I like the PMAC. There is nothing particularly wrong with the PMAC. The only thing wrong is that it is dated. It doesn't really fit into what is considered a great arena in this era. It was built in the era of cookie cutter multi-purpose arenas. The sight lines are good they are just a bit further away than some modern arenas. The huge mistake LSU continues to make is not having the students court side right behind press row like in dale years. The PMAC can be a intimidating venue again if LSU would make some simple changes. Sure I would like to see a new smaller arena on campus. Something like what Auburn has would be perfect. Although I would like to go full retro and build a gym style arena. Say a modern cameron indoor style. But I don't think LSU wants to invest in that right now.

I wonder, could the PMAC be gutted completely and reconfigured inside. Bring the seating closer and make more of a old gymnasium style feel? Could the gymnastics girls still be able to use it with such a set up? Would that even be cost effective? Or would it be best to just tear it down and rebuild if they ever decided to make changes?

That was Sophocles. Not Shakespeare.

How fricking retarded are you?

Oedipus Rex was written 2,000 years before Shakespeare was born.

Do people not understand that our students do NOT show up to a majority of our home games? That's why they no longer get assigned seating at sidecourt. It got kinda old watching home game after home game with 70% of the sidecourt seats on one side empty. And, in the PMAC, that will NOT change nor should it.

We should build an modern arena with anywhere from 12 to 13K capacity. Until then, put the damned press up in a 300 section and give the students those seats.

PS Students were great Sat. So were us old folks who sit low on the sides.

The student section looks so small when you funnel them into basically two skinny lower sections and then uppers where they can’t even be seen on TV because it’s so dark.
