That's bullshite and you know it.

The problem that no they dont know it.
They keep seeing people post about how shitty our offense is and they want to be a part of it, so they just shite on every aspect of our offense even though our offense was far better than oir defense last year.

Agree. This is why miles would. Be better served on a 53 man n the NFL with his ball control power run game. He doesn't get enough plays per game in. I agree

Plays per game is the dumbest stat to look at for offensive success.

This stat is a product of two things:

1) we run the ball 60% of the time and it keeps the clock running

2) we play really slow, have no hurry up offense, and huddle pretty much every play with a long snap count

We probably put the two best rookie route runners in a long, long time in the NFL. They didn't just learn that on their own.

True. Les is a great recruiter. We have amazing athletes at every position, including WR. I believe their (WR) athletic talent gave them most of their success, and they possible could of been even better (stats) if they were in a better offensive scheme.

Route running is work and knowledge. They had veteran route tree knowledge as rookies.

And of course talent matters. This is the part of the game that goes beyond talent.

Only to football ignorant posters.
TOP keeps the other team's offense off the field. Limiting the time your opponents offense has a chance to score is in no way meaningless

Why should LSU fear their offense? You negate your own offense because of the other team's offense? Even though you have a good defense.

If you play slow and it takes you 10 minutes to score the same amount of points it takes the other team to score in 4 minutes, what's the point?

All you're doing is playing scared. Most teams are geared to play fast and have the ability to score quick. LSU plays slower than any team I've seen and all it does is keep their talent from taking over. We want our talent to be on the field a lot. Why are we avoiding playing more? We have a clear talent advantage in every game, and less plays means less opportunities for that talent to use that advantage.

Trying to run more plays when you can't move the ball results in faster 3 and outs/punts, and a more worn out defense

And who has a defense as deep as LSU?

You act as if LSU is the only team that gets worn out. If they're worn out too, our talent should win out, and if we're deeper it'll be even more of an advantage, and usually we're much deeper. Don't you see all the defensive backs we have?

Number of plays is a useless stat. Efficiency is the key

I dont think we need to increase the pace of our offense, just be a little more creative...

I definitely want to scrap this whole "look over to the sideline with 10 seconds or less on the playclock, likely change nothing, then hurry up and try and snap before the clock hits zero" offense. I think we should be consistently snapping the ball with ~10 seconds left on the playclock, maybe 5 if we need to make a change. We've burned SO MANY timeouts in the previous year just trying to avoid a delay of game penalty.
